I actually agree. Games that play just like Rogue, Angband, etc. should just be called top-down dungeon crawlers. And let's not stop there. "Metroidvanias," especially those like Castlevania SOTN? Side-scrolling dungeon crawlers. "Soulslikes?" Third-person dungeon crawlers. "Boomer Shooters?" Dun-

whenever there's a big protest overseas you see a contingent of americans going 'see that's what *we* need' and then when that energy does show it's tut tutted online, demonized on tv, and sprayed with chemical agents on the street. it's language policed and/or police policed down.

I like that what the comic book industry took from Absolute’s success wasn’t “get creative teams that aren’t temporarily embarrassed TV writers working with LatAm hired guns” or “do more low bar of entry creative reinterpretations” but “the kids want horror imprints”.

Industry people keep implying that Reeves has been dealing with some seriously difficult issues behind the scenes the last few years. Hopefully people can keep that in mind before pulling out the torches and pitchforks over an overdue Batman movie.

This seems so obvious to me that it always baffles me when people push back against it. Bach's Goldberg Variations and "Sugar Sugar" by the Archies are both absolutely perfect at what they're doing. But what they're doing isn't the same thing.
