Another strong point is that the cast is really good. From Will's undead family, to the friends that join him in his adventures. Robina Goodfellow is an absolute treasure, in an age where bards are the butt of every joke, she brings class and real charm to the table.

If you ever get the chance I highly recommend Yggdra union, that was my favorite out of the Dept Heaven games. Knights in the Nightmare is also really good, but the gimmick only feels right when playing it on a DS. Gungnir is also pretty solid.

If a show can make a Paladin, one of my least liked classes in RPG a likeable character I say that's a great show. It steers clear from the lawful stupid stereotype, making Will a pious, lawful man but not an idiot.

Just recently I finished watching The faraway paladin after binging it. I had heard of it, but it didn't grab my attention before. Boy was I wrong to ignore it, this is a very good show. This is the closest I've seen a modern fantasy show get to Lodoss in spirit.

Also I didn't notice when buying it, but when setting the stickers to represent the difuntos, there was a bird, 2 dogs and a cat. This matches perfectly with our pets that are no longer with us, 2 dogs, a bird from my sister and one of our cats. Unintentionally this became a very personal thing.

I liked that they did their homework at lego, the ofrenda side is filled with details that any Mexican would appreciate like the steps, the Camino de cempasuchil, the sugar skull, the food and wine etc.

I started assembling it after storing everything else and had a lot of fun with it. It felt like assembling a gunpla but easier. Also today was a very stressful day so this really helped me to calm down and relax a little.

The "DLC" keeps "downloading"at a speed very reminiscent of the Ares/Limewire era, lol. Today I got my 3rd expansion. Oblivion's Maw, a campaign expansion for Maladum bringing in more story content, and a new boss straight out of some obscure OVA from the 90's with all them tentacles. #boardgames

Side quests, as the name implies are additional quests you can do during your missions for more rewards. And lastly, hidden locations. Sometimes you can discover new locations through searching the area, what you find there depends on the location card you get.

This expansion also introduces 3 new systems. Crafting, where you can gather materials during your explorations and bring them back to town to craft new equipment with them. I'm very excited about this one since I do enjoy crafting in other games.

There's also some new classes, which I haven't fully checked out. I know there is a druid now, which is funny because canonically, one of the base characters is supposed to be a druid but you can't get his class without the expansion.

There's 8 new characters bringing the total to 15 with the base ones, which gives you more options for recruiting during the market phase. I'm looking forward to playing with them, especially the big lady with the dual clubs, she looks great. Also looking forward to painting them.

Fortunately it's possible to tweak the event deck (and in fact it's something the advanced rules encourage you to experiment with). It's still a random chance they come out but that also helps keep the game balanced, as it's easy to exploit NPC's to your advantage.

Unfortunately because of the way they spawn from the event deck, it can sometimes be rare that they come out. The base game comes with just a few, with the expansion adding more and unlike the revenant expansion these are different from the base onese, so that alone makes it better value

Then there's the wandering beasts. These are NPC type enemies that spawn from the event deck. Which one spawns depends on the card you draw. They have no allegiances, so everything is their enemy. They will attack players and adversaries alike, which brings a lot of chaos and fun to the board.

There's also the malagaunt which works as the commander or boss of the adversaries if you will. I will say, there is a revenants expansion, but it doesn't add variety, just more of the same 4 guys, so I feel no urgency to get that one.
