Got out today to catch the last local screening of the new SHAUN THE SHEEP film, which was shockingly down to only one early screening a day at *one* theater. I thought it was hysterical - it's a damn shame either people aren't going, or the theaters have already bailed on it.

Went down a rabbit hole today after seeing an old newspaper clipping - the murderer of an old friend was sentenced to 20 years in 1991, so she likely got out of prison over a decade ago. Turns out she was apparently arrested again THIS YEAR for theft and evading arrest. Why am I not surprised. 🤬

Caught TREMORS theatrically last night - yes, I know this movie practically by heart (it's so *insanely* quotable), but I've not seen it in a theater since it's original release 36 years ago, and it's always fun to watch it in a large auditorium with a crowd...

Caught THE STUNT DRIVER this afternoon, starring Jay Baruchel as Canadian daredevil driver Ken Carter. It’s probably the best thing Baruchel’s done, a mature role far from Hiccup and his prior comedies… I really enjoyed the recreation of its 70s setting.

The world doesn’t revolve around you, Rolling Stone writer, or what you deem popular or noteworthy. I’m pretty media aware, and I’ve never heard of this song, or singer, before you got all pissy about it. It happens. Get over it. Still not that inclined to search it out.

Caught YOU HAD TO BE THERE this afternoon, about the wealth of talent and future stars from the 1972 Toronto production of GODSPELL… They had to make a documentary about a show with no surviving footage, so LOTS of talking heads and fun animated segments using caricatures of the cast.
