I'm trying to have the right words for it, but Resident Evil is the second big franchise horror movie I saw this year that I think would be better if the budget was 1/3 and they had to really maximize use of puppets. Also, that's a horror-comedy if I ever saw one, and I will not bend.

My feelings on game remakes has basically come down to understanding they're different things built on the history of the old thing, but fundamentally different. The reason they're made is worth criticizing, and heavy reliance for sales is blatantly obvious. But they're still art worth considering.
