Good UX feels like such an afterthought for folks right now in software, when you can just slop generate and compose material UI components. I have been fighting hard to have our new hires think a bit deeper about how they would interact with the UI as the end user.

For as much as the engineering is good where I work, I also fear that I have picked up quite a bit of tolerances in terms of "that sucks, but it works so whatever". Lots of weird architecture decisions that I imagine don't exist anywhere else.
