Today at the movie theatre the goddess Athena caused my daughter to trip and fall, allowing all her pretzel bites to go all over the floor. She scooped them all up but was too grossed out to actually eat them. Yum yum! I’m happy to report I did not transform into a pig.

I finally watched all the backrooms videos yesterday, and wow this stuff is really capturing the zeitgeist. There are backrooms everywhere. I also just finished the first Dungeon Crawler Carl book and the backrooms are even in there a little.

I got my author copies of OBSTETRIX! I loved this cover as soon as I saw it, but the hardcovers look even better in person than I imagined they would.

OBSTETRIX: a pink book that says OBSTETRIX / Naomi Kritzer and has a hypodermic syringe casting the shadow of a crost. In small letters it also says "O Lord, Deliver Us." The hardcover book is in front of a stack of other copies. In the background you can see some of my awards.

The biggest failing of the American educational system was that it didn't teach me enough Microsoft Excel. I should have had to write every report, every essay, and design every art project solely in Excel. Then I would have been ready for corporate America.

So far, the most infuriating area of AI infiltration into my daily life is youtube video summaries. I still get told at work that no one wants to read anymore. Youtube wants to turn videos back into blogs! We had those already youtube, they were called blogs.

I had to look a quote up in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and found out that my fingers still knew how to spell Zaphod Beeblebrox. Some much current information finds no purchase, but Zaphod will alway be in there. Truly a hoopy frood for all time.
