I've heard this phrased other ways before, but a good phrase is a good phrase:

It's amazing, magic even, that reading a bunch of words can
significantly affect your physiological state. Just the idea that
contrasting squiggles on a flat surface, whether through ink or
pixels, can make you feel something.
(Not even words! Just air molecules jiggling around!)
Someone distant in time and space can put a thought into your

I recently dug my old Garmin eTrex Venture HC handheld out of the closet. My kids are interested in geocaching and I find the whole smartphone geocaching thing to be less satisfying overall.
