My concern with driverless taxis is we always fail at dealing w the next evolution in more driving, more car infrastructure, more traffic. We'd better take ownership of city streets now or one day realize these companies own us. We know how hard it is to regulate after the fact.

Anyways, I should get around to getting off of google, meta, etc. and start building that Linux home server I've been noodling about for a while. De-googling will be hard, I've been enmeshed for nearly 20 years. I welcome any advice, guides, suggestions who to follow, groups to check out, etc.

I think this is a somewhat contrived justification for what was certainly a bad call in retrospect, but was also questionable at the time. The jokes punched down on victims of sexual harassment who are often minimized and dismissed. Content matters, not just what direction punches are pointed.

When Her's misconduct came out, public reaction could've broken in two different directions - taken seriously or dismissed as a joke. You pulled on that rope toward "dismissed as a joke."

The City of Saint Paul is much like the DFL in this respect. If you instantly fire/remove 90% of top leadership with zero planning or transition, the enterprise would be in notably healthier state more able to accomplish goals with little disruption, bc top brass only gets in the way of real work.

This is yet another stunt by the Department of Justice attacking the integrity of Minnesota's federal judges. In emails to habeas petitioners' lawyers, they have complained that they feel getting certain judges means they automatically lose. And they've openly attacked individual judges before.
