Maybe at some point. I’m cooked tonight and much of this week😂 I’ll get around to it, write it some random day, get it recorded the month after that if not the same day, and take three months to edit it like I usually do and it’ll be a good patch for like June of next year.

It aligned with a lot of my feelings, tbh. Conscience and morality are generally pretty simple, but circumstance makes it difficult to follow through, and The Church has whole courses you can take on apologetics. A thing you definitely need when you’re a pure moral authority.

I think the Destiny of it plays here. I had the ending described to me with horror when I was in Catholic school because it’s ‘anti-Christian,’ so I know where it’s heading, but Conscience is a mechanism of Natural Law within Catholicism. She follows destiny and conscience, and this is what happens.

So. Yes. She sows chaos in her wake. What gets me is that she doesn’t sow chaos by being selfish, but by following her conscience. She isn’t chaotic good as such, but the circumstances are so fucked, the conditions of order are so misaligned, that being good engenders chaos.

Like, watching old HBomberguy video game reviews/analysis, the way that he *doesn’t* use qualifying language strikes me as abrasive. Understanding his rhetorical aim as persuasion rather than education got me in the right frame to understand why he was talking that way.

I think (there I go using it) there’s a subtle, widespread, but not universal assumption that voicing an opinion is the general default. If clarifying that your opinion is seen as uncertainty, that might be where it comes from. Qualifying language would imply that you are unsure about your opinion.
