Same here. Lots of AES yard signs, even in areas you wouldn’t expect. Plus I don’t see milquetoast Mike Rogers wowing anyone. Not sure why national media thinks this state that hasn’t elected a Republican Senator since the 90’s suddenly would for the human equivalent of a sad trombone sound.

Respectfully, I don’t see how financial cost, success, or lack-thereof, correlates to being art or not. I do think that if you want art made though artists need to be fairly paid for it.

I don’t understand the bragging about making it so cheaply. Doesn’t that mean people were probably underpaid? I’d rather know that career professionals made it and can pay rent and feed their kids than marvel at how inexpensive it is, especially when it’s no cheaper for me to buy a ticket.

What he should do a follow up to is The Color of Money where he’s now the older mentor. Cast one of the rat boys or something as the young hotshot with talent but a lot to learn. Then that actor can do the same in a few decades. Basically give every generation their own pool hustler movie.
