Wild when you consider the legal hurdles involved to make this happen. Anything Kingdom Hearts related is the final boss of licensing rights. And outside of a few idle animations that no one is going to see outside of waiting in a queue for a match, none of it actually matters in game.

Fortnite is the anti-Super Smash Bros. They somehow made the concept of having a massive crossover with several different franchises and iconic characters, and make it boring. Super Smash Bros Ultimate was full on speculations and surprises. Fortnite? It has become the expectation.

We’re still talking about Majora’s Mask almost 30 years later, and it’s unapologetic reuse of the engine and character models allowed them to create a new world, story, time and mask system, and writing that fleshed out entire lives of people across all 3 days. And they did it in like 18 months.
