Surely, there are still fascinating patterns yet to be discovered.

Some abstract/graphic images shot last winter. A few days of warm weather and the ice cracked up and left some interesting things to shoot. #winter #abstract #blackandwhitephotography

The magnificent dead trees of Namibia's Deadvlei are silhouetted against a neighbouring red dune, towering more than 300 m/1000ft above. A surreal, uniquely beautiful scene, so typical of Namibia! #photography #landscape #nature #landscapephotography #bluesky #naturephotography #sunset

The winter forest scenery I saw with Sho that day was one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever experienced.

As the weekend approaches, bringing high humidity and a biting chill, I can’t take my eyes off the weather forecast. Frost-covered trees always excite me. Once again, the cold yet thrilling winter season is about to begin.

Scotland’s native pines engulfed in fog. It can feel like you are in a rainforest at times, although I don’t think this exact location is within one of scotland’s remaining temperate rainforest fragments. #landscapephotography #naturephotography #trees #scotland

As a landscape photographer in the UK you have to embrace the gloomy, rainy and miserable weather days otherwise your camera only comes out of your bag to shoot the grand landscape about twice a year. Here are some of my favourite gloomy day images. #LandscapePhotography

Haar, some see fog just lingered around the coast all day. The patterns in the send lead to a distant island in the mist.

Rainscape. Some distant mountains under a very large grey sky, it is raining and you can see the rain falling in the distance. The mountains fade to white. There are numerous small lochs in the foreground.

Time. Rolling brown, jagged hills lead to a distant mountain range under a slightly pink orange sky as the sun tries to rise through the thick clouds but just can’t make it.

Hypnogogia. A very distant sand dune pokes into the frame toward the top of the image. The top third of the image is white from low cloud. The bottom half of the image is a flat beach, almost entirely white apart from some wet patches that appear darker.

Wonderful Winter Collection Harsh and cold winters make it hard to step outside, but when I witness a scene like this, I feel so exhilarated that I forget about the cold entirely.

I love the contrast of blue and yellow created by the autumn leaves and fog. In cold regions of Japan, autumn is ending and winter is beginning. How about in your country?

A simple color scheme can be transformed into a diverse palette by us photographers, turning it into a unique work of art. Monochrome is beautiful, but a colorful morning is equally stunning.
