The idea that Albertan's pay more federal tax per capita so we should get special treatment in the House of Commons was so dumb that I decided to make a chart to show what if every province got the number of seats in perportion to their per-capita tax contributions, this is the stupid result:

A chart showing what if all Provinces got allocated seats according to per capita tax contributions. Some highlights: Alberta only goes up by 8 seats. Ottawa loses 82 seats and PEI gains 22! In terms of electors per seat, PEI gets one seat per 12k people, right now they're allocated at around 121k electors per seat.

Saw this sheriff cruiser the other day, the perfect encapsulation of Alberta Separatism.

A police cruiser that clearly had a Canadian flag decal at one point, but it's been peeled off, but they didn't bother to touch up the spot where it had been so its shadow just sits there, mocking reality itself.

It's still a chat bot hooked up an API, bro. The real question is: Is it worth $180k/year to have something that collates your documents for you (Oh and destroys the planet which I'm sorry to say, you'll also be paying for in other ways.) Hmmm... better ask the chatbot what it thinks!

I think part of the backlash here is that people are still mentally pricing Copilot like “smart autocomplete,” but these products have quietly evolved into long-running coding agents.

Autocomplete is cheap. But once you move beyond “help me write this function” into autonomous workflows, token usage explodes and reliability goes down.

Feels like the industry crossed from “AI assistant” into “AI infrastructure” without really resetting expectations around pricing or operational complexity.
