They don't want more investment. This tech is fundamentally flawed and can't deliver what they promised the existing investors. The point of this is to attempt to get the government to buy them out. It's an ask for a bailout for these companies and their shareholders.

Yes and no, culture war crap is all these rightwingers have, they don't even really believe in social conservatism. If you're just voting based on superficial feels you won't notice that these people are grifters. They just think, "Atleast these people don't think men can be women."

Wonder how the Muslim fellow travelers that support the UCP feel about this? They have social conservatism on common but as this shows, white supremacists will turn on anyone, it's an inherently self-destructive ideologu.

Oh we know how that would go: "unfortunately due to vote splitting between the 'no' and 'fuck no' options, yes passed with 35% of the vote."

The public good provided for by a pipeline is what exactly? The mail is important, it would be bad if we didn't have mail, even if you get your bills by email now. How much better did anyone's life get after TMX? Not a whole lot. We ram a country fine before we had TMX.

Oh he knows how to make money, just he'd rather make it for himself rather than the country. As for the whales, the economic term is: externized costs, which means there's no money involved so who cares.

Oh it's a product of our decrepit crumbling society. Notice how all the oligarchs are absolutely awful at the things they're known for. Elon knows nothing about Cars, Thiel's just a fanatic moron, Trump's wasting away before our eyes, it's a product of where we're at, nobody believes in anything.

How? Through what mechanism? People have prime so are they gonna add a surcharge if they're on NYC? Maybe they'll stealth add it through data? But if that's the case than why haven't they just done that and not leave money on the table? Pricing isn't a function of inputs.

Cutting pensions is super "popular" right now. And I'm sure it'll be fine! It worked out real well for fellow conservative politician Merz in Germany!

God these just write themselves: "Whooooaaa, ease up there on the radical talk, buddy! Maybe the Nazi's just have a different point of view than you. We gotta understand and then unite us together. I want us to be united... with Nazi's, 'cause I'm a uniter." ~Winston Carney

They're village idiots because they insulted you and, "Can't see bigger pictures past their own wants." Yet.... you're also cheerleading for oligarchs because they're gonna make da jobs, and you also care about the people that have jobs... but not the ones that don't still have jobs... some reason.

Goddamn, that stupid expansion TRIPLED capacity to BC and its still not enough. TRIPLED, is your life 3 times better now? Is anyone's? Aaaahhhhhh!
On May 1, 2024, the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion officially began operations after 12 years and C$34 billion in costs. The project nearly tripled oil pipeline capacity from Alberta to Canada's Pacific coast to 890,000 barrels per day (141,000 m3/d).[6]

It's okay, that corporation is going to get saddled with all the debt and expect whatever the cost of this thing is, to have a zero added to the end because of all the graft that'll be going on.

Then why don't the o&g companies wanna pay for something that's so needed (and therefore they can make a bucket load of cash on.) Plugging your ears won't work. You know this is dogshit. BTW, now that taxpayers are paying for this, expect to add a zero onto whatever price they're throwing around.

For a year or two, snd then we'll need another pipeline or those ppl go without work. Construction jobs are great, they should be for things we actually need instead of a boondoggle for some rich assholes (that we are paying for)

The goal of all 10 of these questions is to keep the conversation going. There will never be a resolution to it because the chaos is the point. Still go and vote, but more is needed. Organizing and making these fascist issues toxic is the only way to close the book on it.

He SAYS lots of good things, he's more than willing to go on a radio show and slag off Dynacare, but in the end he still decided to side with them over the workers. He could have mandated equal pay for them. He's not making things worse as actively as Dani or Ford are, I agree with you there.

This is my point though, participation in that summit is bad, because it's a privatization summit. I view it as chilling that this back to work order came AFTER his attendance at that summit, as well as siding with hunters against FNs.

I mean, he's wheeling and dealing with Carney, siding against FN's regarding hunters coming onto the reserve, and ordered striking workers back to work. Sounds like I've got the right read on him, unless there's something I'm missing.

Probably also china, people forget that when you outsource manufacturing to other countries, they defacto have the ability to make the same thing you're asking them to make. They also don't really respect international IP, but to be fair, nobody does.

If I were to take a guess: your valuations ballooned as much as they were going to and now have to come down to match reality. Not many can afford a mortgage that high. Bubbles do pop, and real-estate should not be used as a savings instrument for this reason. I'm not blaming you, it's a bad system.

I would like to see an analysis of the facts because I don't think multi units are capable of causing the decline given how market forces work. Builders building creates more demand. Money enters your neighbor, so woth increased demand and money how do the prices go down?
100
Yorpyorpyorp @yorpyorpyorp.bsky.social · 25/09/2026
From neighborhood neglect. The druggies and car jackers aren't living in brand new multi-family units. This problem can happen in any neighborhood when capital leaves it BTW. That there is building here means money wants to ENTER the neighborhood, not leave it.
000
Yorpyorpyorp @yorpyorpyorp.bsky.social · 25/09/2026
More multifamily units means less single family units being built meaning now you own a supply of something that is more scarce, price go up. People say the crime goes up, in an absolute sense: maybe. More people means more potential for crime. Although if that is to happen it decades later...
100
Yorpyorpyorp @yorpyorpyorp.bsky.social · 25/09/2026
I don't understand how this happens. If there is building and construction, densifucation, that creates more demand for land in the area, meaning your property value goes up, not down. That's why densification is a wedge to protect situations like yours. The housing class is different
