Have you spent any time looking at the post-production waxing process? I've got some Carhartt jeans... I like to imagine myself finding the chutzpa to wax them. Apparently people sometimes do that. But I'm daunted by even trying to research how.

Republicans, in their infinite wisdom, left a big gambling loophole in the Medicaid work requirements. I'm no fan of the gambling industry, but if you are on Medicaid and struggling to deal with the work requirements, taking a $580 bet on both sides of an outcome is one way of getting around them.

I think Will's larger concern, that voters increasing can't support any taxing and spending, is in danger of proving correct. When "we should tax ourselves and continue to fund public schools" is looking controversial among average Dem voters, that bodes extremely ill for progressive politics.

To one with good perception, a close look at who Tucker Carlson is, will teach endlessly about who his fans are, how they interact with the world, and that in turn can reveal secrets about e.g. how Mitch McConnell views his role wrt the U.S.'s support (or lack of it) for Ukraine.

NEWS: Donald Trump’s own nephew, Fred Trump, is publicly calling out his uncle’s lies about 9/11, saying Trump’s claim that he brought a crew of workers to Ground Zero “so offends me that I need to speak out.”
Alt text: Screenshot of a post on X from Fred Trump (@FredTrump_) that reads:

“There are two reports out today that relate to the tragedy of 9/11. I will comment on them today because doing so on the 25th anniversary this Friday would take away from the solemn memories. I try not to comment personally about my uncle, but his claim that he brought a crew of workers to help at the sight so offends me that I need to speak out. He was not building a “big building “ at the time. The only crew he claimed to bring to the site would have been secretarial and accounting employees from Trump Tower I knew many of them, and pretty sure they were not capable physically to help (if they could, I am sure they would try). Regarding the US Steel Building, ironically, the grandfather of a very close friend of mine was one of the original engineers- the bldg was built strong. Second, the brother of a partner of mine was an engineer that was immediately called to perform an inspection. While people were originally concerned, it was eventually cleared for occupancy- not creaking and ready to fall. I hope this brings some truth to that story. The second story will follow.
