When we outsourced our judgement on such matters to billionaires.

No, I'm not saying you should *ignore* those results. I'm saying you should *recognize* that, while relevant to many (but not all) discussions *about* Zionism, they are not part of its technical definition. Proper use of language is key to avoiding confusion.

I would describe it more as "we have, due to our ancient connection to this land, the right to move there and form a state there, and we should do so." Removing people is not really part of the definition, and "destroy their old government" didn't happen; the land was a British colony before 1948.

We do need *someone* to run the government and organize the start to fixing what Trump broke. Maybe have a president but have someone else be party leader?

So even a free school lunch program would have to exclude students at parochial schools. Perhaps that's going a bit too far and it should be revised only to purposes that are affected by the religion or do not have clear secular parallels?

The reasoning* is that such serves as societal repudiation, and it takes a very principled culture to survive the level of in-your-face rejection that results in. *It's not a "source" in the sense of quoting someone.

Harsh punishments are not effective as deterrents, but I believe they can be more effective as ways to brutally crush a culture, especially one of entitlement.

True, but at some point the harm of the mistakes is less than the harm of not having an effective justice system.

Clearly, we need to improve our standards. I can see the case to hold off on irreversible punishment until we have done so.

I disagree with your understanding of which parts fall under "Zionism" and which are extremism that is built on it but not part of it.

It probably will, but "unintended consequences worse than the rapes thereby prevented" can probably be avoided if we're smart about it (e.g. with requiring proof beyobd a reasonable doubt).

In the MeToo era I read an SA account in the paper and the author writing "What was I supposed to do, scream?", my visceral response being "YES! Absolutely Yes! Scream, hit, scratch, kick. Eye gouge..." Can we teach that to girls, too? And that such a response is not "overreacting".

Farmers should be able to fix the equipment they own. When monopolies lock farmers out of their own tractors, they can charge whatever they want. One Texas farmer reports being charged $60,000 for a repair he couldn't legally make himself. Our farmers deserve the Right to Repair.
Graphic featuring a farmer driving a green tractor through a field. Text reads: “Texas farmer reports that without the Right to Repair his own equipment, monopoly charged him $60,000 to repair his tractor.” “Right to Repair” is highlighted in yellow. A small photo of Clayton Tucker in a cowboy hat appears above the text, with @ClaytonTuckerTX at the top.

Agreed, though for some types of abuse it can be tough to get the courts to recognize that the abuse exists and is a basis for full custody to the non-abuser. At least for rape, though...a rapist should have no say in anything having anything to do with the resulting child.

Also, IIRC it was not so much "forcibly sterilized b/c black" as "contraceptives b/c immigrating without adequate consent due to communication barriers". Still unacceptable, but maybe revise downward yoir trust of whatever source told you the way you repeated.

That logic assumes that the nature of an ideology can be best understood by examining the behavior of its adherents rather than by examining its official definition. That assumption is incorrect.

The OP made claims about the contents of said book. I pointed out those claims are wrong. The truth of the book itself is irrelevant to the discussion.

If you think you have evidence that the Bible doesn't mean what I said it means, feel free to provide it. If you have a different interpretation of one of those passages and want to try to argue the matter based on evidence, provide said interpretation and we can examine the evidence.

Belief in a group's connection to a land on the other hand, seems to be fairly common and usually does not result in violence.
100
yitzi2.bsky.social @yitzi2.bsky.social · 10h
Belief in a genetic right to land probably would, because it's (a) a group that cannot be joined, and (b) implies a *personal* right, which precludes anyone else having any right.

Here's an idea: Put it on Steam, and on GoG, and on Itch, and on your own website, with prices set so that you get the same amount after the platform's cut no matter where it's bought. Anyone who still buys from Steam after that probably wouldn't have bought it at all otherwise.

The OP is a plagiarism bot, so that's still more explanation than it deserves. Also, if Johnson were the only one, he wouldn't be Speaker, and impeachment would proceed even if he was. The entire party is complicit, with a few exceptions none of whom won primaries this year AFAIK.

I'm not sure that police would be *that* much better...but they're at least *somewhat* better than campus mallcops... Hey, here's an idea: Instead of deporting blue-collar workers and community helpers, maybe ICE should just deport all the campus mallcops?

Quick answer to the quick question: Depends on the moral fiber of the university administration. For the good ones, the criteria for being kicked off campus are things like rape. For the bad ones, the criterion is the administration (or at least part of it) taking offense to your politics.

False on both counts. Numbers 5:11-31 is *quite clearly* a trial by ordeal (results in "innocent" in the absence of an overt miracle) for a woman whose husband thinks she cheated on him but lacks solid proof. Exodus 21:22, on the other hand, is about an unwanted involuntary abortion.
