I don’t object to private practice medicine, but single payer healthcare is the world standard. It costs less, prevents needless death and suffering, and just plain “does better” than pure private pay. Doctors and healthcare workers should be able to choose, not forced to practice privately.

Users behave according to user needs, not your expectations. Outlook made reporting spam and phishing a multiple step process, one message at a time. This makes reporting very user intensive. The goal was allegedly to make users think and catagorize reports carefully. Now they all are Phishing!

Dexcom G7 update! I had to replace my cell phone yesterday. This time the swap of the Dexcom G7 was painless! Kudos to the Dexcom folks for making this migration process to a different phone so easy that I couldn’t imagine or believe the difference between this move compared to past changes!

If there are two or more people from each broad department, I see this as an opportunity instead of a problem. As long as there are several designers, coders, marketers, etc. then simply form a new company. When any IP company sells out, whether overseas or to venture capitalists, then move on!

In Microsoft SQL 2016 Enterprise Learn is vague on just how the database MAXDOP can override the Instance MAXDOP. I’m not clear on how much wiggle room we have. Can a database go back to unlimited parallelism if the instance is set at 1? Zero probably shouldn’t work but maybe the core count???

Thinking that maybe I was stuck in old habits I decided to try something I hadn’t done since the 1980s. I discovered that men’s shirts without a breast pocket are worse than worthless to me. Reflex means I put things into my pockets. If I notice, I have to pick things up off the floor.

Three months ago I planned to take my website down and rebuild it over a few weeks. I took it down. Then life happened, fast. My attempt at a restore of the old site this week obliterated even the placeholder. I’m going to start fresh instead of rebuild, hopefully with a working site by September.

No. Armed guards ready to brawl sounds good, but that is exactly the wrong approach to deal with ICE. Deal with them peacefully. Take what they dish out, and come back for more. Fighting them only becomes useful if the rest of the courts follow SCOTUS down the rat hole.
