Itch is horribly unclear on how to access your purchased games. If bought it with an account, you can find downloads with itch.io/my-collections If purchased without an account, I believe you're reliant on an email they would've sent to you, but I'm not positive because I haven't done that before.

Working every day, little by little. Progress report: * Testing a new Twitch game mode * I have a Steamworks application pending * No ETA on the next update * Fighting burnout (I'll be honest, been ignoring most messages and emails) * Upgrading multiple modules, including:

I am still hard at work every day, improving the game o7 Currently working on a waveform overhaul (and more). In the meantime, some trivia: Did you know you can sit in the dub cinema, and drag the mouse to look around? I recommend seat A6--gives that neck-craning authenticity.

Amazing commission from Shii of our favorite host from The Choicer Voicer!

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

I actually got a solution thanks to a pull request (github.com/godotengine/...), which fixed the surround sound issue for a lot of people--but many still have mic issues for unknown reasons. Problem is of course, that PR is old and unmerged, so I can't readily update Godot.

(3/3) I will note though, there's a TON of AI slop copycats now. After the game blew up, all the vultures crawled out of the woodwork. If you search "the choicer voicer," 99% of the results are sites stealing the name for clicks, and I don't think I can really do anything about them.

131

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

(2/3) As for AI training, I can't blame any tinfoil hat theories, because the game blew up out of nowhere. However, I'm not pro-AI and would never put that in my game. Hell, I still haven't figured out online multiplayer for it, haha. All it does right now is check my Neocities website for updates.

131

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

(1/3) The Choicer Voicer doesn't have the rights to anything. I made Dub Mode intending for things like commercials/memes/video game cutscenes. It's all community mods. But it turns out people mostly want to make packs from shows and movies. That's where all the interest is, I guess.

131

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

I guess I should probably find a business/copyright lawyer, because I'm getting sick of seeing dub recordings from the AI slop knockoff websites. If you're going to copy the dub concept, don't use The Choicer Voicer's name. It's intentionally deceiving people.

3389

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Version 0.5.3 is now live! I strongly recommend switching to it for one reason and one reason alone: Dub progress preservation. Seeing crashes mid-dub has been painful. If there's a crash, the game will now preserve your progress and ask if you want to continue where you left off.

3263

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

It was one thing for this to be directed at me. That makes sense. I'm so, so sorry that the Vinesauce team is getting collateral damage. You'd think most people coming from TikTok would mean most don't even know the Vinesauce connection.

130

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

As The Choicer Voicer's popularity grows, more and more copycats exist. If you search the game's name, 95% of what you see are websites designed to siphon your clicks. Please exercise caution. I was made aware that someone even used my dev name on Github to upload malware.

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Version 0.5.2 is now LIVE! It was, uh, rushed out the door, so lemme know if there's any new bugs or issues compared to 0.5.1 😅 With the current popularity, gotta strike while the iron is hot!

1213

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

The 0.5.2 update should be ready soon! Along with regular bugfixes, it will include an improved way to rewatch your dubs in-game. A common (and understandable) complaint was not knowing where to go for that--especially since dubs can't be saved as a wholesale video in-game.

060

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

The only websites that I the dev have control of are the Itch store page, and the barebones Neocities website. I am NOT affiliated with any other "choicer voicer" websites you find online. And a lot have suddenly popped up.

092

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

Choicer Voicer's popularity recently has completely floored me. I'm working on updates still, but I'm just one guy. I appreciate everyone's support so much, and I hope I can make the game a better experience. Ideally, I can find help regarding online multiplayer and macOS.

1303

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

It seems that a surround-sound audio setup is the culprit. Some people have found workarounds, but obviously request a refund if you don't want to deal with that. Consider contacting the Godot Foundation and letting them know you can't play a game because of this unresolved issue.

1100

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

I've had a humbling influx of players, but with it, a reminder that the mic issue still exists. This is a problem with the Godot Engine itself, and Godot's devs haven't prioritized looking into it. I've been trying some solutions, but nothing yet. I'm sorry to all those affected.

1190

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

Woah, a new update, and less than a year since my last one this time! Version 0.5.1 is a small update with fixes to Dub Mode and QoL improvements to Freestyle Dub Mode, among other things. And starting with this version, the game itself will let you know when a new update is available!

071

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 09/03/2026

The Choicer Voicer version 0.5, the "Dub Mode" update, is now live! The highlights are: Two versions of Dub Mode (standard and freestyle); clip metadata editor; and new "Chatter" pack type for Twitch streamers, which lets their chat vocalize in-game.

66413

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 22/02/2026

HUGE shoutout to @boons.bsky.social and his community for helping playtest the latest build of version 0.5! It's wild seeing how insane audience chatter can get.

3378

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 22/11/2025

I believe I'm done adding new features for v0.5. What I've been up to is improving some menus, UI, and script connections. Keeping "bad" past decisions intact, and only fixing what absolutely NEEDS fixing right now.

A text edit of the "The illusion of free choice" meme. A cow sees two hallways. One is labeled "Sloppily rework the customization page to accept new Chatter Packs", the other "Take the time to create a better customization page from scratch", but both hallways lead to the same door, labeled "Update still not released"

0150

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 20/10/2025

Huge thanks to @platinummeg.bsky.social for playtesting v0.5 and a new upcoming pack type: audience chatter! Viewers can "speak" in the studio using keywords or emotes to trigger sounds from installed chatter packs. (Meg also found far more bugs than I bargained for, but let's not discuss that...)

Anyway, new Dub features: with character tags, choose to sort the clips by character, so you can stick to one voice impression at a time. Also, I've added ridiculous difficulty toggles, so you can: mute the clip, hide captions, only allow one take, and randomize the clip order.

I JUST want to RELEASE this UPDATE, AAAA. Every time I clear one thing off the todo list, it's replaced by one or two more. All but one big bug has been fixed, but I fear what might be discovered by my playtesters soon.

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 26/08/2025

Status update: dub rewatch working in new build; fixed some broken customizations; finally fixed bug with waveforms stretching horizontally; MANY additional small fixes & tweaks. Final big todos: Add QoL metadata editor; diagnose BAD audio volume bug that I've kept putting off…

1111

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 12/08/2025

Status update: Dub Mode is fully functioning with the old game modes. You will also be able to tag dub clips with *characters*, and filter for specific characters in a dub pack. Still needs more bug fixes and QoL changes before it'll be out, however. Thank you for your patience.

1111

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 06/08/2025

Rewatching Vinny's recent VOD, I think I need to make the clip filtering options more obvious & accessible. Despite the suggested clip length being 2-5 seconds, some people REALLY like making packs full of 10-20 second voice clips, oof

1110

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 24/06/2025

Things are getting fixed! The newer clip storage format works with the previous game modes, plus a new clip selection menu. Support for tags with .CFG metadata files, an "Errors" tab to report bad loads, and the ability to listen to seen clips by clicking their image.

070

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 10/06/2025

Remind me to never give time estimates other than "eventually." I said "I'm hoping to have it ready within 2-3 weeks"--four weeks ago. I severely underestimated how much core stuff I need to change to make Dub Mode backwards-compatible with the old stuff (plus I barely worked last week).

030

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 28/05/2025

The Dub Mode you've seen publicly was a test build that broke a lot of stuff, including the other game mode. The funny thing is that adding Dub Mode wasn't hard once I had the setup for it--what's taking up all my time right now is backporting it without breaking everything again.

180

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 13/05/2025

@vinny.vinesauce.com Will be showing off a test build of the upcoming new "Dub Mode" tonight on stream (assuming it doesn't bork). Check it out!

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 20/04/2025

Creating a studio model for your pack can be a pain (speaking from experience), so I'm experimenting with options to overwrite the default studio's textures with custom inputs. You'll be able to make clown vomit with it too, so that's... a plus? #GodotEngine #indiedev

092

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 18/04/2025

With all I've learned so far from the turmoils of working on version 0.5, I returned to v0.4 to see if I can't churn out an update for it. Holy hell, what a mess this code is. I have the menu clip disc spinning via 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 instead of an animation player wtf #GodotEngine

030

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 19/03/2025

Got a little heated in my documentation :) Save yourself from my mistakes. Never duplicate ShaderMaterials in #GodotEngine. I knew `duplicate()` was slow, but man. It's somehow faster to create new ones from a roundabout separate resource 😕

060

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 13/03/2025

I thought "hey, a depth warp option could be cool!" And it is! ...As long as the image resolution matches the window. My simple 32x32 image that fills the screen by tiling? Yeah, it becomes a trippy mess. Not sure if I can make the shader dynamically respond to size #GodotEngine

071

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

You know how, the longer you go with radio silence, the harder it gets to make yourself post something? Yeah, that's me. Have I been working on the game? Yes. I have been working slower than I'd like? Also yes. I made a small breakthrough last week, hoping it pans out for me.

190

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

Most of my work on the rewrite so far is just under-the-hood stuff to make modpack loading more ordered and modular. All I have for showing off right now is granular control over button presentation. Each button type has its own field for button color and font color. #GodotEngine

This is a veeery late response (sorry), but there is a basic GLB file available that has the positions and sizes of the screens and judge/player platforms available here: yeahmaybe.itch.io/default-packs As long as your platforms and screen borders are in those spots, it should line up perfectly.

Anyone who caught Vinny @vinesauce.bsky.social's Choicer Voicer stream a couple nights ago, I'm actually the artist behind the Halloween studio featured in-game! though the version on stream was a bit.. unfinished. 😅 Here's a newer shot! Just needs some more polishing up! #art #blender #vinesauce

Old, unfinished export ft. untextured wood, shiny grass with broken ambient occlusion maps, and a floating lamppost!

WIP shot: A Halloween themed stage set in a dark, foggy forest. Green mushrooms frame the large center screen, itself decorating the front of a large mushroom, stretching almost as tall as the old, weathered house that sits beside. An arched walkway of alternating, diagonal bricks stretches from one side of the frame to the other, connecting the major landmarks that make up the image.

The game will likely need some trial and error to properly use your custom studios. I am not well-versed in GLB/GLTF, but it seemed the best choice due to its versatility. I've added a reference file to give you a head start while I continue working on 0.4.14: yeahmaybe.itch.io/default-packs

000

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 01/09/2024

When debugging, I grab bits and pieces from peoples' packs and scramble stuff around for testing. Then I occasionally gain lucidity, look at my screen, and wonder "what the hell am I doing with my life?"

020

YeahMaybe @yeahmaybe.bsky.social · 17/08/2024

The next update for v0.4 will finally give the studio packs their intended purpose: loading your custom glTF files as the studio. I'm sure yours will look better than my beach here.

A screenshot of the host's introduction for a session in The Choicer Voicer, but the normal stage has been replaced with a modeled beach.
