Yann Lemos @yann-lemos.bsky.social · 12/10/2026I feel that GDScript hits a very cumbersome ceiling on really long-term, complex projects. I miss features like interfaces, structs and function overloading almost daily. I know that there's workarounds, but coming from C# it's something that still stings almost three years into migrating to Godot. 3320
Yann Lemos @yann-lemos.bsky.social · 10/10/2026One of the things that's been bothering me the most about LLMs is the paralyzing dread that it's evoking into people who are studying creative arts. Programmers, animators, musicians, all of them asking themselves "what's the point" How many of them will just give up? Fucking sad 060

Yann Lemos @yann-lemos.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I think it's pretty important, but more in the sense of it being useful in your toolbox to help in facing a difficult systems/architectural decisions. So more of a "hmmm, should I use composition for this?", instead of "If I can't solve it with composition, then I'm doing something wrong" 010

Yann Lemos @yann-lemos.bsky.social · 13/02/2026I'm enjoying it though! Learning a new language years into being a developer is a real pleasure expect if it's C++ after years of not worrying about memory then you're fucked 020
Yann Lemos @yann-lemos.bsky.social · 13/02/2026Javascript, I'm a just a humble dev with years of C# and GDScript, so I must ask Why did you name a thing a const if it's not constant?? You're just kind of batshit about some very specific things I think I would have become a very different programmer if I had started from it 140
Yann Lemos @yann-lemos.bsky.social · 11/02/2026I guess that's one of the franchise's best things in hindsight! The games can be so different, like RE4 pure action roller coaster and RE7 methodical bad vibes, and somehow there's the same DNA there. Always happy to be reminded of my love for RE7, still think about it with some frequency 110

Yann Lemos @yann-lemos.bsky.social · 28/10/2025I don't know if there's support for this out of the box, but perhaps this would be a good use case for the "hold to confirm" pattern for the delete button in this new position? That way it can keep its place, but also avoid the random delete by misclick 120
