Carlos (1991) goes hard & heavy. The sudden bursts of gritty violence contrasting with the slow and quiet scenes is immaculately done. Directed by Kazuhiro Kiuchi, the creator of the manga series Be-Bop Highschool, as part of the Toei V Cinema series. Naoto Takenaka is amazing as the titular Carlos.
