I’ve gotten a lot less Ohioan over the last 16+ years (though it’s still the strongest region). Neat that I picked up enough from St. Louis over 4 years to still have it over a dozen years later, but all I got from 6 years in the south was y’all. I did assume the West has been changing me

a dialect map with the highlighted regions running from Lake Erie to St. Louis, and from Arizona up the Pacific coast. Ohio was the strongest region, but the strongest cities are St. Louis, Phoenix, and Los Angeles. The least similar regions are New England and the Dakotas, with Portland, ME, Boston, and New Orleans being specifically mentioned
