I think you'll get better traction as time goes on. It is still early for that post though! Keep it up dood! I understand it can feel bad when comparing to others but we're all on our own journeys, you'll continue to grow and numbers will get better!

Wouldn't say nobody cares, just more that it's less about quality & more if something is resonating with them. That's why a sketch can do just as well. You do great work, but it takes time to build follows and figure out what is and isn't resonating. And especially as people get to know your OC more

On Twitter you get suppressed for using them, here they only help. Can include links in the main post here too without being downranked by the algo, so feel free to include your Patreon links in the main posts too! With deck.blue you can add tags without them showing in the post text if you want too

I'm not someone to make this kind of posts often as I do feel bad for not giving anything in return in immediate time for such help, but the circumstances of my Chemoteraphy treatment have become increasingly more difficult to sustain from a lack of funds to pay for the next sessions and meds.

If it were to be possible for anyone to help within their reach and without putting themselves in risk, any donations to Ko-fi would be truly appreciated and of immense help. The ko-fi being ko-fi.com/brickshoes

at times i feel like yelling at ppl to call ur reps is pointless, nobody cares, and the only way to get ppl to listen is to morph into mr beast or jake paul. but im not even sure they would exist w/o section 230. u wouldnt have social media or messaging w/o it. so i called my reps and u should too

Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act has protected free speech online for decades, but now there is a bipartisan effort in Congress to force …

Reminder that they're still trying to repeal section 230 (thereby making platform holders like bsky legally responsible for content posted by their users etc etc) There is still a need for you to blow up your rep's phones on this if you enjoy being able to do things like "post" or "have an porn"

Plenty of stock image stuff you can mash together really quick too. Hell, even just using some existing art you think fits, if it's going to be replaced later anyways, I think most artists would be flattered, similar to making their art your wallpaper. (in this context specifically)

Hell yeah, big respect. Hope more people and creators especially have the courage to do so. That platform really has its hooks in many and they can't let go.

It also might not even be the right artform for them. It's good to explore different things and see if you find more joy and drive in learning something else. But often it's about overcoming the high expectations we place on ourself and just letting go and learning to love the process.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

Eh it's still to varying levels. Many might feel so without it really being true, while others were held back from pursuing their goals whether it be life circumstances or mental health. Not practicing your art is a common one. Bad thing is the feeling can become self-fullfilling, a toxic cycle.
