Small update to the GitHub AgentScan userscript: - New "Bounty Hunter" label - Use "Suspicious" label for mixed results - Slightly faster AgentScan detection (by running in the worker itself now) Check it out: github.com/bluwy/github...

To anybody who's just accepting Claude's output without rewriting it and is worried that now we'll know you're using Claude: don't worry, it was already obvious. daringfireball.net/2026/08/anthropi…

Anthropic’s ‘Watermark’ Text Adulteration in Claude Is a Perversion of Writing
It’s unacceptable for a tool to sacrifice an iota of clarity, coherence, meaning, quality, etc. for the purpose of embedding hidden clues within the text to suggest its provenance. The idea that anything other than *my* needs should factor into the generation of text *for me* is patently offensive.

Started heavily using Codex in the recent days and compared to Cursor/Claude Code: - it's worktree orchestration is great - the priority view sidebar is overrated and poorly done (doesn't persist after restart) - MCPs are terrible, just like in Cursor (randomly stop working)

It’s so nice working somewhere that design is valued so much that execs can tell when something is designed poorly. The pushback is real. And welcomed.

Just read DHH’s post on the Romani people – not linking it here deliberately since it’s not worth your time. I think it’s funny how bad it is, both in terms of the analogy it uses, but also how little it brings into the discussion. It’s a worthless opinion, nothing more.

Heartbreaking. And a wake-up call. It is no longer about being difficult to find a way to sustain yourself through your work online. It is no longer sustainable to keep a website up now. Axel has done so much for the web and all of us. Buy one of his books if you can. We've learned so much from him.
2ality blog: temporarily offline

Dear visitor! Two things happened recently:

- The income from my book sales went from being enough for me to live off (2024) to zero (2026).
- The traffic to my blog and my books (which were free to read online) increased beyond what I can currently afford. Virtually all of it comes from AI crawlers, so there is no ad income.

Therefore, I’m taking my blog and my books offline so that I can decide what to do next – especially w.r.t. AI companies stealing my work. This may take a while (think months): I don’t have any energy to deal with this right now.

I apologize for this (hopefully temporary) inconvenience to my human readers! You can still buy my books at Payhip.

If you maintain OSS projects and use the Tanstack situation solely to promote that you are "safe from supply chain attacks" without providing any evidence/making clear disclaimers, you are a huge POS.

Boldly and loudly predicting the future should be a disqualifying indicator of poor judgement in general. You'd only set yourself up for failure like that if you're a dunce or a propagandist.

As hyped as Claude Code + Obsidian is, I have no desire to upload my personal unencrypted vault data to Anthropic or anyone else. I hope that the ideas of private inference and confidential computing that Moxie described take off. It's how all LLMs should work.
Confidential computing
This is the domain of confidential computing. Confidential computing uses hardware-enforced isolation to run code in a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). The host machine provides CPU, memory, and power, but cannot access the TEE’s memory or execution state.

LLMs are fundamentally stateless—input in, output out—which makes them ideal for this environment. For Confer, we run inference inside a confidential VM. Your prompts are encrypted from your device directly into the TEE using Noise Pipes, processed there, and responses are encrypted back. The host never sees plaintext.

But this raises an obvious concern: even if we have encrypted pipes in and out of an encrypted environment, it really matters what is running inside that environment. The client needs assurance that the code running is actually doing what it claims.

ViroReact wasn’t working, so I slopped a simple native module for ARKit to enable distance measurements similar to what the built-in Measure app offers. Quite happy with how it turned out – maybe I will clean it up and open source it!
