In all seriousness, though, what the heck is up with the animation? I mean, I actually like the more vibrant colors, but the character movement and element-bending is so...minimal(?). I imagine cartoony laser sounds whenever someone bends.

Well, I watched the new Avatar: Seven Havens show and I can safely say that out of all of the installments of the Avatar franchise, this is arguably *one* of them! I give it a score of Something out of 10 stars for sure, with animation that easily surpasses One Punch Man Season 3!

The second episode is out already!? Damn! I was so busy focused on the new Avatar series that I completely missed it! Well, I know what I'm doing today.

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Anyone ever have those moments where you're thinking about any random thing, and suddenly your old favorite shows or movies flash along the forefront of your mind after not having thought about them in years?

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

First half of Daemons of the Shadow Realm season 1 was pretty good, but the second half was like, "Heheheheh, have fun waiting 1+ year for any follow-up, losers! Bwahahahah!" I don't like when stories leave nothing resolved. I need at least SOME closure to SOMETHING before the big cliffhanger.

000

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I finally finished Daemons of the Shadow Realm Season 1 and I gotta say.... The second half was kind of underwhelming. Almost all set-up and angst with no real pay-off and ends on an abrupt cliffhanger. Yuru and Asa every 5 seconds reminding me of Batman like, "Waaaaaaah! My parents!"

5) Attack On Titan trying to make Eren a well-intentioned extremist as the very last second, before revealing it doesn't even work in the end. And this list is just what I remember off the top of my head. I can probably think of more if I give it time.

000

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

3) Chainsaw Man just abruptly ended in the middle of what was suddenly decided to be the final battle of the series, and made it worse by retconning the entire story beforehand and somehow making time travel a thing. 4) Black Clover pulls a Pain arc ending on its finale. No character actually grew.

100

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

My examples of unsatisfying series finales and reasons: 1) Jujutsu Kaisen developed none of its main antagonists before killing them anticlimactically 2) My Hero Academia kinda ruined the tragedy of Shigaraki as a product of society's ignorance by having it be All For One's direct doing all along.

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

You know, looking back on it, I can't help this feeling that a lot of relatively recent Manga struggle to have a satisfying finale or ending. Or maybe that's just me, comparing everything to Fullmetal Alchemist again.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, other than being a mouth-full to say, just doesn't seem to want me to get into it. Every time I'm starting to go with the flow, stealthily around and blowing stuff up with grenades and rockets when I screw up the stealth, it throws me into an unfair boss arena.

Hear me out Heart of the Underdog retrain that lets you draw again if you draw a normal monster, but between every draw you shuffle your deck. This then ties into an archetype or single other card that does some shit with like Shuffle Counters or something

Heart of the Underdog
[Continuous Spell]
During your Draw Phase, when you draw a Normal Monster(s): You can reveal it; draw 1 more card.

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I'd play an archetype like that. I really enjoy playing the tricky and weird deck mechanics.

Parts of it are good. Yhorm, Friede, and the swamp level are the main "on the other hand" points my mind comes up with when I consider replaying for fun.

000

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Man, such an existential question. It took me a long time to really become a gamer. It's hard to think of the specific game that really flipped the switch in my brain. Hmmm..... Oh! You know what? It was probably either Devil Survivor or Persona 3 Portable. Either way, SMT takes home the prize.

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I mean, there's only three side quests at that point and not that much to explore. Though, my issue is more with the narrative pacing of the final act. There's not much room for the characters to breathe and really react to what happens.

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

I finally finished Expedition 33. I knew it wouldn't have a happy ending, and I knew how specifically it would end based solely on the start of Act 3. What I *didn't* realize was just how short Act 3 would be. Felt a little rushed. Anyone else feel that way?

I only meant that its design and mechanics were refined and smoothed out in later From Software games. Going from Dark Souls 2 to 3, I was absolutely stunned when I'd dodge roll under an enemy's attack and NOT get slapped in the face by the disproportionately large hit box

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Ended up going with Active Matter. Guess what we're streaming tonight? :)

000

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Yeah. It was definitely a good game for its time. Main thing that keeps me from replaying is the kinda broken hit boxes. But I love the exploration in 2, which they kinda toned down in Dark Souls 3.

100

X The Unnamed | EN.VTuber @xtheunnamed.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Active Matter is fully released on Steam. Now I need to debate between buying that and buying Resident Evil Requiem. Hmmmmm....

Sometimes I spend time thinking about various anime, and think specifically about the seasons/story arcs that I would wish gone for various reasons. Maybe it screws up the pacing, serves no purpose, lazily retcons plot moments, or it deletes my fav character from the story—know what I mean?

Hmmmm. Maybe it's about time I finally return to Expedition 33. It's a depressing setting and I'm sure it will have a depressing ending, and that kinda brings my mood down—but, then, I played over half of the main Resident Evil games, so I guess that ship has already sailed.

Ever watch an animated musical and think, "Damn. These are probably the hardest-working of all voice actors"? Think about it: they not only have to remain in-character, but also modify their voice even further to hit all the right beats and other music-related measurements whose names I don't know.
