Brogue is very nice, I've tried to win it, still can't get past floor 17 though.You can always auto explore the 1st floor but after that bloats and eels can make it impossible.The first difficulty spike is around 6-8 where you first start encountering ogres and bats and your starting equipment fails

I wish I could work on the monsters for a JRPG someday, but anyway I animated this Final Fantasy iron giant a while back. I was just kind of going on YouTube studying the various appearances of the recurring iron giant enemy type and the common attacks they use (typically a strong downward slash)
