The blackbird of exasperation has replaced the bluebird of happiness until further notice.

Spent some time at an outdoor music festival and brought a sketchbook to scribble in.

A canine-like creature with their mouth wide open in a nasty smile.

A possum with a wide smile. Their tongue is hanging out of the side of their mouth.

A few sketches I’ve been picking at. The duality of my emotional state.

A messy sketch of a sad possum sitting at a bar, smoking and drinking. His face is contorted into a deep sadness, his clothes are loose and hanging off, and his hair is disheveled.

A sketch depicting two characters laying in bed. The one on the left is laughing and the one on the right is lovingly smiling at them. They’re holding each other and their noses are touching.

I’ve been in a bit of a rut lately with art. I’ve found new inspiration just by browsing art and photography on here. There’s so many talented artists.

This is how I’ve chosen to depict myself.

A character reference sheet for my possum OC. His name is Creature and he dresses semi-formal. His hobbies are shown as reading, and writing. He’s mainly dark grey with a light grey belly and pink flesh. His face is a sickly off white color.

To be loved is to be known. I miss being known.

A possum smoking a joint. His expression is exhausted and stones. A dark cloud of smoke looms overhead and reads “I miss you.”

Late night sketch… Might finish this one soon.

A sketch of a possum smoking. He looks tired and a thick cloud of smoke looms over his head.
