Really sucks to know that even after experiencing a natural disaster and needing help that we are still mostly ignored. While I am appreciative forl those who have helped, it's just very disheartening to know we don't matter that much. All I can do is keep asking and hoping folks will show up idk.

Got this in the mail. I'm ready for this shit to be over with.

An ad made I got in the mail discouraging voters from voting for James Talarico. He looks to be at an LGBTQIA celebration outside standing with trans and queer poc holding up rainbow and trans pride flags. The three to the right have darker skin which is no coincidence.

Ad reads:

"James Talarico is for they/them.
Supported using taxpayer dollars for sex change surgeries on young children.
Said denying your child's gender identity is 'abusive.'
Supported men playing in girls' sports."

I never told ANYBODY about this. No one. And that's the response I had to get from a psych after finally opening up about it. And I know she thought she was helping, esp by saying we as women have to protect one another and part of that is reporting but... girl.

She asked me why I didn't report and I told her that I knew I wouldn't be believed and/or would have been blamed. She said I should've done it anyway, at least by way of going to the hospital to check on myself. Mind you, I hadn't even processed what had happened to me soon enough to have done so.

...would improve by addressing the ADHD. Idk, I just really feel like the diagnosis is off. She may have also said bipolar bc of all of the ADHD meds I've tried, only one worked but with awful side effects.

Naw. It's my impulsivity and mood swings she's basing it off of. But as I know it, bipolar would require episodes which I don't experience those symptoms in. They're on a regular basis/ongoing. She didn't deny that I have ADHD, but she wants to address my mood first. But EYE believe my mood...

Also forgot to add they already calculate how much longer you stay on a site if there's outrage and flame wars. It's why FB and all these places LOVE some bigot groups. People who make up things to be angry about and yell back and forth about it are perfect ad exposure targets.

You'll note social media, for years, has refused to let people just have a timeline of just the people they want to follow, in chronological order. Besides shoving ads/paid promotions into the feed, they also randomize your experience so you scroll through more, and take in more ads.

The thing the video describes is that; artificially stretching runs, or running them into a wall, and calculating the specific points of your patience vs. addiction to keep you going. It is the worst of psychology tricks held by Vegas, but because you're "watching videos for free" you don't see it.

When I was young, I ended up watching folks running some carnival games. I peeped game to how when little kids came up to play, the person would demo and mess up, so when the kid lost, no big deal. When it was a cishet couple, the person would make it look SUPER EASY, to get the guy to spend money.
