Got this in the mail. I'm ready for this shit to be over with.

An ad made I got in the mail discouraging voters from voting for James Talarico. He looks to be at an LGBTQIA celebration outside standing with trans and queer poc holding up rainbow and trans pride flags. The three to the right have darker skin which is no coincidence.

Ad reads:

"James Talarico is for they/them.
Supported using taxpayer dollars for sex change surgeries on young children.
Said denying your child's gender identity is 'abusive.'

You'll note social media, for years, has refused to let people just have a timeline of just the people they want to follow, in chronological order. Besides shoving ads/paid promotions into the feed, they also randomize your experience so you scroll through more, and take in more ads.

The thing the video describes is that; artificially stretching runs, or running them into a wall, and calculating the specific points of your patience vs. addiction to keep you going. It is the worst of psychology tricks held by Vegas, but because you're "watching videos for free" you don't see it.

When I was young, I ended up watching folks running some carnival games. I peeped game to how when little kids came up to play, the person would demo and mess up, so when the kid lost, no big deal. When it was a cishet couple, the person would make it look SUPER EASY, to get the guy to spend money.

They need her to be a skinny little innocent and docile victim, who never really does anything wrong, in all of the adaptations, imo, because that’s how victims have to be to be believed and perceived as victims in society at large.

In the books, she can be downright insufferable to the other kids at school with her judgment. She was raised in an abusive, Christian extremist household. The beliefs she was raised within deeply shape the way she sees her peers. Why do none of the adaptations cast her as such.

One of the most valid criticisms of every Carrie adaptation besides the obvious and most valid one that Carrie is never cast as she is written, likely due to fatphobia…. But also, none of the adaptations ever take the risk of making Carrie an imperfect victim. In the book, she is flawed.
