Part of it also probably because DBZ had characters generate lightning similarly, and any references to Dragon Ball automatically makes it cooler to them, regardless of context

The lightning perfectly symbolizes movie Sonic's characterization, so people who don't mind or care about his game/canon characterization genuinely think it works for him

I think the reason the Wind vs Lightning debate keeps going in circles with the same few arguments is because nobody realizes that this is actually a debate over characterization

Maybe the Sonic Discord server was the real Club Chaos this whole time.

I've noticed that a lot of fan games like to give Shadow the bounce, despite the fact he's never once had the bounce in any game My unsolicited opinion for today is that Shadow should never have the bounce (Just because he's never had it before is a very weak argument, but idk why I feel this way)

Getting tired of untested vibecoded ports that are just buggy and because no experienced coders are around, they can't fix it? Never fear, as I have listed decomps and recomps done by actual people and it will continue expanding! If you know any, lemme know!

My initial excitement made me forget that most people will just deny it and dunk on them and bash Sonic fans, but hey at least that initial excitement felt really good I guess

PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO REALIZE DRAGON BALL EVOLUTION AND THE SONIC MOVIES ARE THE SAME, FINALLY oh sweet vindication, you feel so good

Okay. So. Hear me out. How would one go about creating a completely new moveset for DMC 1 or 3. And change the character model completely. To Sonic The Hedgehog. And how many have tried and failed before me

It's the fact that every time they mention that he doesn't have wind *powers* Nobody is saying that. Why do they always think he has powers, he's just a guy who happens to be really fast

000

Exception @xception.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I know it's dumb to come here and complain about walking around in the rage bait factory, but holy shit it's people shitting on the wind argument with that image again and again, or referencing it, or they're just being intentionally obtuse or being inconsistent with their arguments

Exception @xception.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

The fucking wind argument is starting up again I CAN'T FUCKING TAKE IT ANYMORE,

Despite everything, I am grateful to be living during this time because had I been born a few generations back, I would have been lobotomized for being an overly opinionated woman

I don't want to describe what YouTube ad I just got, but it was AI generated and looked very illegal. Like, "how the fuck did YouTube actually allow this on their website" type of illegal.

Used Google translate to translate something, and noticed that the translation has some interesting grammar, like adding the notorious chatgpt "—" when I didn't use any They've replaced google translate with AI and didn't tell us Not at all surprising, I'm just tired

If they did go through with that story, I probably would've ended up disliking it for the same reasons I dislike the old American cartoons, comics, movies, and Prime Maybe I don't hate it specifically because it didn't happen

Exception @xception.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

If the main games tried doing Sonic Boom's scrapped story, I'd absolutely hate it, but for some reason I wouldn't if Sonic Boom actually executed that story I don't know what's up with that, I guess I'm just weird
