-PIA was only marginally quicker than LEC before the lockup, and struggled afterwards -BEA was the best midfielder pace-wise, yet LIN finished in front of both Haas -William's pace was terrible: SAI was helped by the SC, then he 'survived' long enough to score points!

RACE PACE (Impacted by traffic ⚠️) -RUS had the best pace on track, but VER spent the whole race behind PIA and RUS! Mercedes likely had the upper hand, yet RBR performed brilliantly here -Ferrari was way back: LEC 0.66 s/lap slower than RUS despite also running in free air for most of the race

RUS was fastest in every sector, had by far the best top speed (331 km/h, vs just 322 km/h for "best ICE" RBR and 321 km/h for RBs, same as Aston), and had no shortage of energy: he crossed the line 16 km/h faster than he was at the start of the lap

BEST SECTORS LEC did well by almost matching RUS in sector 1, but his best sector 2 was still 4 tenths away of Russell's McL was next quickest in S2, Alpine (Mercedes PU) in S3 (where McL still struggled despite having the same PU)

So it's confirmed: Ferrari's 'ADUO 2' upgrade (which only HAM had in Madrid) was significant, providing 18hp more in some crucial phases (peak power on corner exit, between 260-310 km/h, in the clipping area) and similar performance elsewhere 🚀
