I'd never have beaten Ninja Gaiden NES without dropping a save before the final boss. I'm not playing through all of act six again just for another shot whenever I get a game over, especially because you don't have to for any other bossfight. They just wanted to waste your time with stuff like that

But even though I thought the zones looked cool and the interconnectedness of the world was neat, a lot of them kinda weren't great as actual levels. The bosses are also really basic. Character building is really cool though, lots of build variety, which kept me playing for a long time

I do think that the Soulsborne genre is a little oversaturated, but even seeing someone say Dark Souls was just alright stings a little because I'm extremely attached to it, even though I think it's a very flawed game. I thought the atmosphere and the way the game tells the story were brilliant

I'm kind of glad I grew up during the wii era and got to play my fair share of shovelware garbage because it makes me appreciate good games more. Another awful wii game I played was called Game Party. It was a party game featuring various minigames and it had maybe the worst controls I've ever seen

People "buddy" me a lot. As in, someone will say "hi buddy!" In the same tone of voice that you'd use for an 8 year old. I'm a tall, large, hairy man, so I don't get why, but I always seem to get more leeway with doing what I want and have people not get mad at me so I don't mind
