Tough but necessary place to be in. I feel like a lot of teams would pay for that rental.

I'm curious, are you pro or anti "trade Acuna" right about now? I really hate to watch him pull a disappearing act every fall, and I'm still mad at the Braves for 1995!

Damn. I'm either incredibly forgiving or my eyes are too old, or both, but I thought "wow this is surprisingly good, too bad it's too damn small!"

Two AAA games in three weeks that do the unforgivable: one with enemies who grab you immediately after you struggle free, repeatedly, and one with awful, including the before-the-unskippable-cutscene kind, checkpoints.

You know that feeling when you play a game early on that relies on a certain number of people liking it to survive and people already hate it before even seeing it and you feel like it's really cool and want to single handedly keep it alive but know that it's going to die and get sad all the time?!

*Dikembe Mutombo voice* Not in my house #NBATheRun

I got 12 blocks in NBA The Run. Feels good. This is the scoreboard of that feel good moment.

My important not-E3 takeaways: it feels telling that my "biggest" SGF game was a fucking Saw game from Bloober Team, Day of the Devs made it impossible to choose just one, and we heard from multiple creators you might view as successful who make games after their day job.

Spent the last few days beating that sketchy Goldeneye 360 port and the decompiled Perfect Dark, and I can confirm that PD is better, but boy, that 360 Bond release would have been WILD without further development.

It’s insanely funny to see articles like “Which Q-watch should you pick in 007??” to just prove that we’ve reached the endgame of desperately trying to get people to open our ad-filled web pages, huh? Support independent games journalism, if you can, eh.

Super happy I bowed out of The Discourse(TM) before this Steam Deck pricing business, but I can imagine the collective mind-losing and that’s all I need.

Reached the big time, now. I'm happy I haven't yet but my time in CS2 has taught me it's truly inevitable.

Requiem makes some truly bizarre design decisions, and thankfully most of them are around optional things, but I'm disappointed that they couldn't help but do *that one section* (so far) where the solution to the problem almost feels like a glitch?

I don't mean to shock literally no one but I liked Scream 7, even though I would have done something drastically different with the story re: the time frame.

Hey so we just announced SPRAWL zero, a new FPS that we've been working really hard on. Inspired by classics like Bungie's Halo and Marathon, as well as Half Life 2 and anime from the era, this is our love letter to the golden years of FPS. Wishlists would rule <3 www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ju0r...

Absolutely awful news. That team was so talented and seemed to work on banger after banger. We interviewed some of them for our Demon's Souls remake doc. I was so excited to see what they brought to life next. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCBJ...

Just absolutely wild. I'll sorta be surprised if there's even an 'industry' in the next 4 ish years.

I guess I just refuse to believe someone would write a script like that in the first two acts then completely jump the shark, but it's totally possible.

Absolutely dumbfounded. Had a real "the notes came back from up high" energy.

Is this about an old one or the newest one I haven't watched yet? Feel like it could be so many of them.

For all the pre-release flak it got about the graphical overlay stuff I think it actually kinda works, too. It's silly, but the right kind. Still the only one I go back to every now and then.

Jordan Helsley @writeitjordan.bsky.social · 12/02/2026

James Van Der Beek is tragic and sad, though I need to pour an extra one out for Bud Cort, who deserves celebration as well. Harold and Maude was a revelation for me, personally, but he cast wide net, too.

Sorry, Jeff. They only sell you the promise of switching sides in the class war, but wouldn't dare make good on it.

Given the situation... It's like it was exclusively marketed at League/Valorant players.. Who have the launcher and the DRM... but don't exactly scream FGC.... And they have that deal with Xbox Game Pass, but I never saw it show up there, either. A real shame.

Always bugs me a little when people frame press previews as a sexy perk of the job. Motherfucker, you think I wanna fly 6 hours across the country for one day to play 3 hours of a game I don't really care about, which I will then have to replay a month later? I'd rather be snuggling my cat!!!!

I'm a simple person. I just want the Browns to trade up to draft Mendoza, AND make 'Mendoza' the official stadium anthem. I don't ask for much. (Instead I'm pretty sure our official song is more like 'Box')
