The music scene has changed so much since McLachlan's started out. The industry now thrives on those concert pics and videos to be posted on social media. It boosts streaming and snags new fans. Unfortunately, artists can't depend on on basic album and ticket sales to make it big, like the old days.

armys organized, protested, and got the chilean government waving white flags on a sunday afternoon… whew CHILAY since the arirang stage setup already did all the things they’re demanding, all that waits now is the final approval 🤞🏾

Chile’s Minister of Sports released a statement on the BTS concerts. The English translation is on the 2nd image. The full statement in Spanish won’t fit in the alt, but here it is minus the last paragraph:

English translation via Papago

“Government opens the door to BTS concerts in the National Stadium following new technical proposal of DG:

Following the initial refusal of the National Sports Institute, under the Ministry of Sport, because the initial mitigation plan submitted by DG Media did not guarantee the continuity of the facility, the Government informs that it has received new technical background from the producer regarding the configuration of a new installation for the concerts, which would now be in compliance with the current regulations.

Santiago, July 5, 2026. The changes presented - relative to weight, load distribution, lawn protection and constructive solution - substantially change the basis of the previous technical evaluation and accordingly, the Mindep, through the IND, has expressed its willingness to revise the concert authorization at the Central Colosseum, conditional on the delivery of technical documentation which specifically supports:

1. Loads, pressure and production structure.
2. Protection system and support surfaces.
3. Event operation: assembly, disassembly and transit.
4. Grass mitigation and agronomic management plan.

Based on this background, the Ministry of Sport will establish the technical conditions to be met. Their effective compliance and the producer's formal commitment will be indispensable requirements for authorizing the performance of the concert at the National Stadium.

The Ministry of Sport reaffirms its commitment to taking care of the country's main sporting arena and, at the same time, to host world-class events, provided that the law and conditions guaranteeing the protection of its infrastructure are met.

Also, over the next few days, the Mindep will present an adjustment in the rules for the conduct of these events, so that they are also explicitly incorporated into the Presidential Delegation's approval flow, setting fines for all producers selling tickets without the relevant authorisation.”

To the stadium than a rideshare. They don't allow liquid of any kind, so get the stick sunscreen. They also don't allow food. Most security people are super nice. The bag check people are stern. Security only knows the rules for their area, so if you ask a question, the answer maybe wrong.

different of a view, oddly, so don't feel like you are missing out in the nosebleeds. If you taking a taxi/rideshare, yell out to the people waiting that you are going to the concert. You will probably find someone else going and you can split the cost of the ride. A taxi got us closer

great so you can keep your hands free to get freebies. -They have pallets of small water bottles for free outside the gate before bag check. Be sure to grab some for when you are standing in line but drink it before bag check. -I had mid 100 & front 300 level seats. 300 wasn't much

keep your army bomb in it. Many people had to trash theirs due to the bag not a clear bag. They wouldn't even let them fold it up into their bag. But they let them in if your bomb was in it. They put up barriers when you leave and won't let you use the bathroom. So go before the end of the concert.
