Luego de la negativa inicial del Instituto Nacional de Deportes, dependiente del Ministerio del Deporte, debido a que el plan de mitigación inicial presentado por DG Medios no garantizaba la continuidad operativa del recinto, el Gobierno informa que ha recibido nuevos antecedentes técnicos por parte de la productora respecto de la configuración de un nuevo montaje para los conciertos, que ahora sí se ajustaría al cumplimiento de la normativa vigente.
Santiago, 5 de julio de 2026.- Las modificaciones presentadas — relativas a peso, distribución de cargas, protección del césped y solución constructiva - cambian sustancialmente la base de la evaluación técnica realizada previamente y, en consecuencia, el Mindep, a través del IND, ha manifestado su disposición a revisar la autorización del concierto en el Coliseo Central, condicionada a la entrega de documentación técnica que respalde específicamente:

His concern is that the stage production will damage the turf where Chile’s national football (soccer) team plays. Social media users ask whether Karol G or Iron Maiden will have their dates cancelled at the National Stadium. Though their stage setups aren’t 360 like BTS’, fans will surely be standing on, jumping on, and walking all over this turf the Minister is so concerned about. Politicians, such as Congressman Alejandro Bernales and Senator Pedro Araya Guerrero, have asked the Minister of Sports to reconsider, citing an estimated $53 million dollar expected economic impact and the country’s reputation being at stake. Additionally, there are also Chilean ARMYs citing laws that explain that concert/event production companies are responsible for paying for the costs to repair the damages incurred to the pitch, so if true, who actually knows what’s behind all this whinging about grass protection. Minister Pizarro has apparently offered a flat fucking field with no stadium seating as an alternative. TOMATO.
