I mean, stock up went from $10 to $1.50 because of the Mystical Archive printing at uncommon, and the foil is <$3. Assuming cards on bonus sheets continue to be guaranteed in relevant packs, judicious card selection, etc. I would be surprised if the trend didn't continue 🤷

The only one that I truly felt sad about not having access to I decided was simply too heinous aesthetically...was Peter Porker. This card is exceptional for the cube, it's an on-curve food generator that gives non-humans an anthem. It would have been absolutely sick. But...I just couldn't.

I made a handful of concessions to cards that were aesthetically off vibes, but had deeply relevant mechanical elements (creature type, rules text, etc.).

For those areas, I was able to lift some other limited archetypes, like the Faerie Flash archetype from ECL, and retrofit that back on to Eldraine with minimal flavor challenges, and actually some really clean additions from around the multiverse (aka other sets):

I tank extremely hard p1p1 between two Vintage Cube playable cards. I ultimately take Stock Up. In retrospect I think my deck is an A+ if I take the researcher and go into black. I immediately follow up with a Gix’s Command and move into Dimir control.

2-1! I am able to quickly power through my first two opponents with T2-3 Troll Kings. I am positively smushed in the finals by my opponent who is on Boros Humans with Dearly Departed in the graveyard.

After a messy finals, I emerge victorious, 3-0. I earn the pin Im looking for. I have so far played 3 Round, 7 games and 10 Turns of Magic. No opponent survived my first turn.
