The human and the elf continue to practice swords

Human: What a bleak and frightening story. Why don't you tell the story about the goddess of beer and the farting frogs again?

The human and the elf cross blades.

Elf: That's an amusing story for children. The tale of the sun is recent history. Don't worry too much.

The elf moves to trap the human's arm and then picks her up. The human looks at the elf with a disgruntled expression.

Elf: The sorceress must spend her days fending off the sun. If the sun destroyed elf world the sorceress would have nothing to rule.

The elf and the human lie on the floor of a hall in the elf's home. They are relaxing after practicing swords.

Elf: It can last forever. The sorceress must cede ground to the sun eventually. And the sun will crush elf world to her fiery bosom.

Elf: And all elves will be incinerated.

Human: How do you live in a doomed world?

The elf wrestles and pins the human.

Elf: I do elf stuff. I fight! I!

Human: I'm being serious!

The elf and the human sit on the floor and eat a snack of fruits served by an elf man. The elf man is short and has a tail, he wears traditional elf garb: a tunic and pointed cap.

Elf: There are ambitious scientists and wizards who believe a moderate amount of salvation is possible.

The human and the elf eat their fruit.

Human: You're not one of them.

Elf: Not anymore. You know, the same elves squabbling over the same impossible solutions. I'd rather do as I please for the last centuries or hours whichever the case may be.

The human tilts her head back in disappointment.

Human: Finally we have a real conversation and now I have to go to work.

The human, now wearing an ordinary earth T-shirt, leans her upper body out of the magical portal and kisses the elf.

Human: Can I come over tomorrow?

Elf: I'll open the portal.

Human: Is elf world's sun really a huge beautiful woman.

Elf: Yes.

The elf waves goodbye to the human.

Elf: What else could the heavens be?

Three elf women hang in chains from the walls, representing the torment of all elves under the reign of the sorceress. Below the captive elves, an elf soldier who serves the sorceress rides an armored, 3-toed elf horse.

The sun has broken out of the cables and destroyed the sorceress's machinery. She sends a vengeful wave of flame toward the sorceress.
