Polypane is the best development tool. Apart from it truly being great, I value that it's independent software created by someone that cares. Long may that last.

I have had many interactions like this with LLMs and CSS.

I have noticed this, cats walking on telephone wires, sliding down a lamppost, etc. I pretty much just skip that content now because I don't want to spend energy working out if it's real or not.

Woody @woodyrew.dev · 11/09/2026
I really hope they offloaded that to an LLM, because a human shouldn't have done that. A human should have flagged that.

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

There is no ethical consumption of HBO’s Harry Potter series
You can’t without supporting Rowling’s transphobic bigotry.

Using @layer pretty much made this problem go away. Seems like a new fad for React.

Err aktually it's a library and that's why it needs to be supported by the extensive ecosystem. I enjoy the Svelte approach of sitting on top of web standards.

I simply can’t praise Svelte Summit strong enough. To me it’s *the* event. And you absolutely don’t have to be a seasoned Svelte guru to feel like home or to get the most out of it. Come and join us in Ljubljana!

The biggest problem is not the deniers of global heating. As this essay explains, it is the widespread lie: "We still have time." Lip service to climate protection is useless. Only actions count. And we have no time to lose. thebiggestlie.wedonthavetime.org

Not carbon dioxide. A lie, spoken calmly in parliaments and boardrooms, only four words long.

I'm not 100% site but I believe it uses the unsubscribe link as a driver. I'm sure @tuta.com can weigh in to confirm or correct.

Woody @woodyrew.dev · 21/08/2026
You're right. That's one of the nice features I've noticed since switching to Tuta mail @tuta.com, there's an unsubscribe button in their UI.

JK Rowling has pledged to use the money she earns from Harry Potter to persecute trans people. If you spend money on Harry Potter, that’s what you’re supporting. This isn’t theoretical, it’s totally overt, and there’s no rationalizing it away.

I generally use the ease ones -mainly ease-out- but I'm not sure I have a preference, it's usually on a case-by-case basis.

This is a for once a hopeful graphic.
Title: Many Leave voters have died.
Text: Estimated flow of viewers between 2016 and 2026, excluding don't knows
Graphic: Sankey diagram - 2016 on the left with Leave, Remain, and Too young to vote; 2026 on the right with Died, Stay out, and Rejoin. A proportion have moved to Died; Stay out is now smaller than the Leave votes; Rejoin has some from Leave, mostly remain and the majority of Too young to vote resulting in a majority to rejoin.

Codepen on mobile but looks like JS or CSS hasn't loaded correctly.
