CSS `@layers` have the biggest impact to getting styles under control. I'm such a big fan of this unglamorous power feature. My tip is to put primitive and semantic "tokens" last because they really shouldn't change.

I can't recommend this enough. I originally got Josh's CSS for JS developers after seeing the care, and consideration he put into his blog posts. It massively leveled up my day to day work, I go back to refresh periodically. If you're interested in leveling up your skills, this will set you apart.

For those using SCSS (Sass) with `@layer`. Extends won't cross the layer so they may not compile as expected. Mixins will, by their nature be a much better fit for this scenario. This might motivate me to write a blog post.

There's got to be an easier/better way to get tokens out of Figma and into SCSS/CSS custom props. Figma API —> JSON —> manual transform —> Style Dictionary —> SCSS & CSS seems like it should be already solved.
