Having some insanely fucked up dreams the last few days. I think this can mean one of two things (or both): 1) my brain is overstimulated from the weekend and needs to run its defrag routine at 100% 2) I have super covid 9000

It’s official! Mistake on the Lake returns for Mistake on the Lake 6: Party on the Lake! October 1-5, Great Lakes Mall, Mentor OH. More details will be coming in the next few weeks as we’re waiting to finalize a few things, but trust me: you’ll regret missing even a single day of this event.

If you are attending The Big Deal or watching online next weekend, it would mean so much to me if you shared this post and marked your calendars for our first attempt at Club TBD. Hope to see you there!

Ugh my new Pegasus Plus have started to separate after like 6 games. I really like these shoes, hopefully Nike will make things right. I’m worried the foam might be too soft to handle snags

The “I’ll invite DJs to play at TBD” to “I’m learning Adobe After Effects” pipeline

Trying to put together a Dancemania DJ set for TBD but it’s a HUGE fucking headache; never have I run into songs this difficult to mix. Mastering is bad, the songs drift because the tempo changes CONTINUOUSLY through the song, songs are cut in really weird spots and end too early, rippin my hair out

Every day when I read the increasingly insane news, no longer can I feel angry or worried because I’ve accepted that we’re on a rollercoaster that is entirely out of my control. Maybe that’s my coping mechanism. The future unimaginably bleak and riddled with pain.

Complaining about the effects of aging on my body/performance lately and people can’t relate because they haven’t gotten there yet so they think I’m just being soft 🫥

@sblmnl87.bsky.social and I’s scores on SA are so insanely close across the board, it’s actually crazy. We both have scores for every song and our folder averages are: • 14: +/- 115 points • 15: +/- 168 points • 16: +/- 462 points • 17: +/- 564 points Wild!!

For me, the most frustrating thing about trying to improve at dance games is timing. It truly feels like an innate thing that is not entirely immutable, but people start with wildly different baselines. Mine has improved SLOWLY over time but the more focus I put on it, the worse I seem to do

One of the most frustrating things about adulthood, is how easy it is to get stuck in your ways. It’s really sobering to find yourself doing something you’ve done the same way for years or decades and suddenly realize, “wow I could have been trying new ways to approach this the whole time”

Something changed in me this year, I only care about playing 17s now. They’re hitting this sweet spot of being both challenging and rewarding, I can feel them making me stronger even if my scores aren’t great every play. It feels like some days I’m yanking my body by the leash
