We said we need a bigger boat right? Well consider this a cruise liner! We've extended the deadline for the WA Summer Bingo to another week to give everyone a chance to create and post to the collection! Have any questions? Make sure to comment here or DM and we'll help 🤭

Fanfic writers and artists create beautiful works for free. For FREE. 👏 It's a passion for the Fandom and the community, and the COD fan base is so lucky to have so many amazingly talented people. Your work matters. You are good enough. Anyone who shits on that ideal can suck a fucking egg. 😌

❤️ Why "Bad" Art Matters ❤️ You don't need to be Shakespeare to write about what you love. You don't need to be Picasso to draw what you love. Fandom will always have entitled arseholes. BUT, for every arsehole, there's a whole sea of folk excited to share your joy with you.

A stick-man drawing of Ghost and Soap from Call of Duty. The writing around the drawing says:

"DO BAD ART"
"WRITE BAD FICS"

Say it after me: Chat GPT is not a search engine. It does not scan the web for information, it just generates statistically likely sentences. You cannot use it a search engine, or as a substitute for searching. Now. Please never use an LLM for information searches ever again.

It makes me incredibly sad to think of the lasting ripple effects this could have on the fandom. Please continue to support fan works, to join events and put yourself out there creatively. Do not let one person’s mistakes take away whatever passion and positivity you are able to find here. 🩶

I decided to finally venture over into Reylo fanfics in honour of May the 4th after being a quiet supporter / shipper for years. ..only to open bsky and see Reylo discourse??? Jfc, it’s like I’m back in the Zutara trenches.

This trope bingo event is open to all ships & all fandoms! Fun fact: the mod team over in the WA submitted so many good trope suggestions that we had to use a wheel of chance to fill out this bingo card (we were cheering for our favourites every time the wheel came close) 😂

I have been here. I had one of my fics plagiarized. I did the whole DMCA notice for takedown. It’s exhausting & it’s soul crushing when someone thinks they can do your story better than you Stop stealing from the people who are creating for you *for free* out of a shared love for a fandom / ship.

TIME TO CREATE BUCKAROOS. yes there will be little pieces that you keep seeing and thinking 'this is broken this is wrong' but honestly most of these things fall into two categories 1 they give you flavor and power or 2 nobody even notices. NOW GET OUT THERE AND PROVE LOVE BUILD SOMETHING AMAZING

jurassic park meme of two buds sitting first one points and says ‘HEY EVERYBODY THIS GUY IS WORRIED THAT PEOPLE ARE FOCUSED ON THE PART OF HIS ART THAT HE’S INSECURE ABOUT. second panel is him saying ‘SEE NOBODY CARES’
