With turning 60 this year. I feel a strong connection to Star Trek since I am the same age. My first exposure was the TAS, my first live episode was This Side of Paradise. Trek will always be important to me. I wish this world would be like Trek. #TrekBookClub ##StarTrek#MyEnemyMyAlly

This was most definitely a good send-off for her. He honored her bravery with this token here on Earth. The Romulans are quite noble yet also clandestine in their attitudes towards those outside their realm #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

She saw that what he did was for the Empire. She understood but still felt the pain. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

It has been a few years since I read them. I am looking forward to reading them again here on TrekBookClub.

She is the one that paid the most. Cast out of the Romulan empire. She was branded a traitor but a hero just the same to the Federation. I would like to know what became of her. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

I have to say Nahrat's adventure on the Big E was my favorite. I like to see another member of the Federation working in Starfleet. I loved the Horta because they are unique and we hardly see them anymore. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

The biomatter that was harvested from Vulcans. This material would be then grafted to Romulan patients to allow them the mental telepathy and other mental powers of Vulcans to give Romulans a upper hand in their clandestine operations. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

I sure do love subterfuge when it is necessary. Thois had to take great planning for this mock battle to demonstrate that the Bloodwing and Aei were still on the Romulan side. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

With them being xenophobic, it must have been culture shock being on the Enterprise. How all these different people working together aboard a Starship. I loved that Diane had a Horta onboard. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

They sure didn't like his plan and having an enemy agent amongst their ranks made them 10 times uncomfortable. With Kirk's coaxing, they changed their minds reluctantly. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

The Romulan Commander was a favorite character of mine. She had strength and determination. Yet Spock influenced her. I think it brought shame to her to see her niece fall from grace. I think she would have considered revenge on Spock.I am glad she didn't. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

The Doctor I grew up with was Tom Baker. I have seen others too. But he was the one that was memorable. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

This is a good scene. There is much to be concerned about. McCoy is reason and Spock the logical one. With his mindmeld he would determine if she were truthful. Kirk is the deciding factor. Spock will let them know if she is truthful. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

Well for one Kirk, himself has done some clandestine work before behind enemy lines. This was right up his alley. His cunning is what she needed to pull this off. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

When a government steps out of line in the treatment of another culture or people, it is the sane mission for a person to stand up and say, "No, this treatment will not be tolerated." For the sake of all sentient beings throughout the Cosmos we won't tolerate it. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

She had a sense of duty to keep the galactic peace. She probably was frightened to a great deal, but she had to do her best to save the galaxy #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

She was ready to make the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of the galaxy. Yes, she was putting herself and her ship into dark waters with betrayal to the Romulan empire, she was really upset with this information. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

The Romulan government was in an upheaval. Senators were kicked off their posts and the whole planet seemed in chaos. This change sure did foreshadow the issues that the galaxy would have to face head-on. The Federation had to ensure that their borders were safe. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

If one doesn't have downtime to exercise or to quiet the mind from all work related stressors, one may burnout themselves to the point that they are not productive to society. Overworked leads to poor decisions. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

I sure loved how Diane Duane depicts Romulans. She did a lot to solidify them as noble enemies of the Federation. Well they are turning into a race of clandestine beings to the point that they would use every trick in the book to achieve their goals. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

She sure wasn't the typical Romulan commander we have seen through the series. Ael has a sense of duty but we learn in this book; she wants to preserve her race. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

I first read this book when I was stationed in the UK. A few years ago after finding the rest of the Rihannasu books, I reread the series. Darn good writing by Diane Duane. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

It depicts intrigue with phasers drawn in search of the enemy on some alien world. #StarTrek #MyEnemyMyAlly

Star Trek: The Man Trap aired two days earlier in Canada than the US. I remember watching it with my family and was blown away. Who knew it would still be around 60 years later? Here’s hoping for many more years of boldly going.
