I looked up what the pundits (incl our side) call "some weird remarks" by Talarico. Taken out of context, anything can sound odd, even wrong. & MSM-both sides- loves taking it out of context. The only weird thing about JT is that he's a sincere christian & his platform of decency seems to befuddle.
