Our router rebooted itself and started blinking ominously a few minutes before the embargo ended. I sure hope that was the ISP pushing updates for its rinkydink management interface and not someone installing a bitcoin miner in its rinkydink management interface

I think I may have fixed the network. Turns out 4 out of the 6 interfaces have died in the pfsense box, including the 2 I was using. The remaining 2 is all I need anyway, and I needed it back up and running. #homelab

Cleared all the crap off the saw. Fence wouldn't go all the way to the blade, which was a shade worrying until I noticed the front rail had got a bit bent in shipping. I managed to get it straightish with a pipe clamp and a bit of leverage and it works now […] [Original post on beige.party]

The front rail. There are slight signs of previous buckling, but by and large it's straight.

"I'll just recover the blade from the old table saw before I junk it", I said, forgetting that I've lost the arbour spanners and the blade lift is broken. I wonder how much I'll have to dismember this thing before I can get at both sides of the blade. #woodworking
