There used to be a bot account called Stealth Mountain on the birdsite that would correct "sneak peak" to "sneak peek". I used to chortle at the idea, but here's the Bwlch today.

Cleared all the crap off the saw. Fence wouldn't go all the way to the blade, which was a shade worrying until I noticed the front rail had got a bit bent in shipping. I managed to get it straightish with a pipe clamp and a bit of leverage and it works now […] [Original post on beige.party]
The front rail. There are slight signs of previous buckling, but by and large it's straight.

"I'll just recover the blade from the old table saw before I junk it", I said, forgetting that I've lost the arbour spanners and the blade lift is broken. I wonder how much I'll have to dismember this thing before I can get at both sides of the blade. #woodworking

Scenes of absolute carnage
Some thinly sliced strips of beef in a bowl coated with egg. Another bowl next to it appears to have tragically failed to contain a cornflour explosion. Trails of debris point toward a pan in which some of the beefis frying.

I need to countersink some holes for metric machine screws. Can I find my countersinking bits? Of course not. But I do have a regular drill bit with a roughly 45 degree rake to the point and the collar from a dowelling bit. Improvise. Adapt. Drink piss. Or however that goes.

I really like this calculator. Does exactly what I need it to do, in this case tell me the best way to get my drawer boxes from the remaining 12mm ply.
A cutlist calculator laying out the 16 pieces I need to cut from roughly a half sheet of ply. All the pieces are colour coded and you can allow for trimming off the factory edges and the kerf of your blade.
