Vengeance tries to address this by giving the textbox this tombstone treatment, but there already was a good solution for showing cards that could be played from the graveyard: the little tombstone symbol!

The issue with the split box cards is that the more kinds of them there are, the more confusing it becomes about which is which. Particularly when they don’t always include the reminder text

In feminist theory, kyriarchy (/ˈkaɪriɑːrki/ KY-ree-arr-kee) is a social system or set of connecting social systems built around domination, oppression, and submission.

The word was coined by Elisabeth Schüssler Fiorenza in 1992 to describe her theory of interconnected, interacting, and self-extending systems of domination and submission, in which a single individual might be oppressed in some relationships and privileged in others.

It is an intersectional extension of the idea of patriarchy beyond gender.

Fascinating update from l0gr1thm1k, who curates the Data Generated Vintage cube. Huge fall off of people actively updating their cubes on Cube Cobra. Magic will outlive Cube? #mtgcube

This list looks a little more "normal" to me. The quantity of data I filter on and use to make these cubes has been declining over the last few years as fewer folks are updating vintage cubes. I usually only sample cubes taht have been updated in the last 90 days. A few years ago I was gitting in the 40-50 range of cubes updated whenever I sampled, whoih made the sample fairly robuts. This quarter there were only 9 cubes updated, making choices in the cube highly idiosyncratic. Sampling those

pound grass-fed chuck steak ask butcher to cube and trim off fat for you

pitted prunes

orange peeled and diced

yellow onion diced

cinnamon

ground ginger

ground paprika

1/2 cup
orange juice

1/2 cup
red wine

bone broth

Directions
Combine all ingredients, except parsley, in your slow cooker and mix well, making sure vegetables and meat are completely submerged.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours (the beauty of slow cookers is that they're so forgiving, no need to stress about timing - make it work for your schedule).
Taste for salt and adjust as desired. Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley.

Angel Down by Daniel Kraus

This book was fantastic and everyone should read it. A war novel with a solid helping of cosmic horror when an Angel falls into a WWI battleground. The “one long sentence” gimmick is well managed and doesn’t detract from the experience

Interesting alternate history of Indian Independence. I really enjoyed the character work and the rebel organizing, but I really wanted more alternate history world building. Mostly the time shift seemed like a device to avoid the complications of the actual decolonization process
