EG fell for it too. :( The Capcom presentation contains a slide with "AI世代のゲームエンジンへ" - the article omits the "へ", for one, but the issue is that while 世代 means 'generation', it's in the 'console generation' sense, not like GenAI. Without へ, translation software gets it totally wrong.

I stayed at a hotel near the Nintendo Museum and found a guestbook, so I drew something in it. Everyone there was incredibly kind and welcoming. It became a wonderful memory for me. I’m truly grateful to them—and to Nintendo for making this experience possible.

Numerous people have already been pointing out for days that western reporting on this is an embarrassingly inaccurate game of telephone, so I'll instead reiterate that it doesn't cost that much to just have a real translator on standby to vet such reports. I know budgets are tight, but come on.

can't say much about the show yet bc it's all introducing 70 characters and the game so just vibing for now I *can* say you're better off grabbing oceanveil (second image) over what I presume is ani-one (first image), despite the lower video quality and hardsubs, as OV better approximates english

これは洋画ホラーを観ながらしこしこ描いたのでなんとなく雰囲気が伝わってるようで嬉しいぜ！！！！！普段ぜんぜんベタ使わないけど初期遊戯王の雰囲気出そうとしたら影を足す系の作画になってめちゃくちゃ時間がかかった…(いつもはまず全体をニュートラルな暗さ？にして光ってる面をざっくり削る系の作画なのでそんなに仕上げに時間かからないあと細かいところで言うとラフから大きな変化があったところとしては「扉」や「フタ」的なものが全部開いています(自分の絵の解説をするのが好きな人

overriding fonts, sizes, etc *can* get trickier with subtitles complexity, but this isn't the case with CR subs

most desktop players do - such as mpc-hc, mpv, vlc (not 100% sure about this one but i don't see why it wouldn't) as to why CR doesn't, dunno. they probably don't want to bother if i were to guess. good to keep in mind that CR is still using ass subtitles, they're just being authored with OOONA now
