soft launching being a Calamity Jane (Lucky Luke) fan with some doodles (her in chiikawa and Sonic) my oc is here too with @wisteriartist.bsky.social the big version of him in the corner is possessed by an ancient evil that decided the first thing she was gonna do is mog

Misc. doodles from left to right:
1. Purple bug alien hugging a buff, wasian man who’s crying.
2. The chiikawa alley cat has a peachy brown fur pattern that looks like a middle part and thin scruffy tail. Its face looks a little dirty still she acts cheeky with a wink and a sidestep while crossing her little arms.

3. Sonic character is a canary in jeans leather tunic with tassels. Her boots have straps for spurs attached by little gold rings.

4. Wasian guy with purple eyes mewing. His undershirt is light blue and his jumpsuit is red with a beige collar. He has full lips and beauty marks btw.

Lester Bennet ref sheet He likes bugs, fish, and fossils. Bro is basically an Animal Crossing character. Under the Bureau he’s Naomi’s bodyguard but to the public he's an arms dealing store manager. 🏷️ #silverbulletinc #fakebookseries #weirdwest #oc #s0ulpatches #survivalhorror #cowboyoc #ocrefsheet

Albino character with a short shag cut in a plain 1890s suit. His name is Lester Bennet. Red/pink transitional lenses cover his grey eyes. There’s a bust drawing of him next to that full body, looking startled with motion blur. Unfortunately, I peaked with that art of him jumping up in the air with a time period inaccurate bomber jacket. A compromise is shown with him as a chibi wearing a long dark fur lined coat. Unrelated, but this one is also wearing cowboy boots. Zoom in on the boots shown with their original reference image.

🔭 Hickson 44 in Leo Image Credit & Copyright: Jiang Wu apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap25040...

Scanning the skies for galaxies, Canadian astronomer Paul Hickson and colleagues identified some 100 compact groups of galaxies, now appropriately called Hickson Compact Groups. The four prominent galaxies seen in this intriguing telescopic skyscape are one such group, Hickson 44. The galaxy group is about 100 million light-years distant, far beyond the spiky foreground Milky Way stars, toward the constellation Leo. The two spiral galaxies in the center of the image are edge-on NGC 3190 with its distinctive, warped dust lanes, and S-shaped NGC 3187. Along with the bright elliptical, NGC 3193 (above and left) they are also known as Arp 316. The spiral toward the lower right corner is NGC 3185, the 4th member of the Hickson group. Like other galaxies in Hickson groups, these show signs of distortion and enhanced star formation, evidence of a gravitational tug of war that will eventually result in galaxy mergers on a cosmic timescale. The merger process is now understood to be a normal part of the evolution of galaxies, including our own Milky Way. For scale, NGC 3190 is about 75,000 light-years across at the estimated distance of Hickson 44.

"you need to label nsfw" ok fair. however if you just keep passive-aggressively barking at people every now and then instead of pointing out where and how people can do that and adjust their settings im gonna just unfollow you too. this is how you apply labels, you can do so when you upload photos!

screenshot showing off the Labels button that appears in the post box when you select an image or more to upload, and the selection (Suggestive, Nudity, Adult or Graphic Media) it offers to pick from if you work warrants a warning.

Trans women were at Stonewall. The Stonewall riots began when patrons of a low rent New York gay bar said “Enough!” Prominent among the rioters were dykes, sex workers, trans women and drag queens. Many rioters were already seen as the lowest of the low, they had ‘nothing to lose’. #LGBTHistoryMonth

A group of young people outside the Stonewall Inn in 1969.
Terminology changes, which makes it challenging to state with confidence how a person in a photo would identify at the time, let alone how they would identify if equipped with the language and understanding commonly employed now. I would say that looking at the photo there are two people who are gender queer in the group.
Marsha P Johnson, who did not start the riots but was there over the nights that the riots continued, is on record describing herself as a drag queen and as a trans woman at different times, which probably reflects on the times and attitudes towards gender diversity.

At last, i introduce my 2nd Overwatch OC! Meet Vulcan, a grumpy old man with rat DNA and a special technology. He's a support who has developed a flame that can heal instead of harm. Oh, and he's Sentry's twin brother! The two are reunited at long last! 🎨 by @rigbylaveur.bsky.social Tyvm!!

"Life is a pure flame. I wield that flame."
Vulcan is a doctor and combat medic. Vulcan is an 88 year old man just like Sentry but where Sentry's incident in the military left him frozen for over 40 years, and thus he did not physically age, Vulcan aged naturally until age 87 when he recieved a special new treatment that restored his physical youth. With the body of his prime back, he then tried to copy the DNA merging Sentry had done on him by the military and hoped to fix what they got wrong. As you can see, he failed, permanently growing a rat tail and whiskers.

This image is of him wearing what would be considered his default skin, a fireproof jacket, heat resistant gloves, a blue flannel shirt and jeans with suspenders. He's also wearing size 13 sneakers. His facial expressions show off his grumpy and irritable demeanor. His "Apollo Flamebelcher" is a custom design. It has a two trigger system.

The orange trigger shoots regular orange flames. The green trigger shoots green flames that heal even the most grievous of wounds and damage. The fuel tanks are filled with fuel and are resistant to damage. Inside the tanks is a bladder made of kevlar and balistics material that is extremely difficult to breach. The small tank on the flamebelcher itself is filled with a mixture that changes the ignited fire into the healing flames, released by pulling the green trigger.

The orange button on the rear of the tanks dissipates built up heat from the flamebelcher and uses it to generate a barrier. This barrier surrounds Vulcan in green flames. When it takes enough damage, it explodes with orange flames, hurting nearby enemies.

This alt shows off Vulcan's fireproof jacket more and his mask that protects him from smoke inhalation.
