I think we have normalized the fact that Trump, the President of the United States, owns a media company which he uses, and profits from, as the official White House public service announcement tool. If that's not enough, he creates and sells information ahead of time for a little extra.

Burnham "hints" about EU closer relationship. To rejoin would require UK to use Proportional representation. When we see proper plans for electoral reform, removal of corporate influence and links to policy for donation, then maybe rejoining EU might be worthy of discussion.

It's important to understand that before Margaret Thatcher Social Care in the UK was basically nationalised. 100% of children and 64% of Pensioners were in Nationalised Social Care. And that it was destroyed by FORCING Councils to sell it off by freezing their budgets.

Social Care is affordable in the UK. Just not Privatised Social Care. Currently a Social Care Worker is paid £12.60 an hour. The Council is charged £33.20 an hour. A huge amount of this is profit which goes completely untaxed. As you can see this will NEVER be affordable.

In Luxembourg the average state pension for 40 years of contributions is nearly 4x higher than in the U.K. Far from being unaffordable the UK State pension is a joke, what is unaffordable is the tax evasion which leaves us with so little money to spend.
