When a person comes to a chronic pain service, it's not all about medical or physio. It's also about the emotional impact of pain. Here in Wirral Chronic Pain Service we've been lucky enough to develop a non-medical space for people to meet with our psychologists or occupational therapists.

What a wonderful donation of artwork, chocolate and patient leaflets. We are lucky to have connections with @thebraincharity.bsky.social in our chronic pain service in Wirral!

www.instagram.com/p/DFqC6dvsrh... Our psychologist Jo shared some information about chronic pain to one of our PCNs, developing some important future work relationships along the way. Exciting to be alongside Wirral Ways who we are starting to collaborate with. 2025 continues to be fruitful!

Our psychologist Jo has been listening to this audiobook www.amazon.co.uk/Why-Does-Sti.... It explains pain well and underpins what we do in the pain management service. Free on the BorrowBox app with a Wirral library account (which is also free!). Also on Audible and as a real life book or kindle.

We said goodbye to our rotational physiotherapist last week. Zoe might not miss those bullseyes but we will definitely miss her.
