Yep, we got it over the line and it was pretty great. It only took like just over 10 years. Oh boy does that quote live in my head now.

Hey everyone. Is climate change still an emergency and something we should care about? Asking for a friend.

Athom make a 6 channel energy monitoring unit. Works great for whole house monitoring on home assistant.

I did manage to get Angus to give us a letter of support. I bet he hated writing it.

Just missing thug life glasses

I drive quite a bit in an EV, charge at home, and i’m currently in credit by, like, a lot. In Australia, most people have no idea how the electricity grid actually works, or is priced. Especially people who make comments like this.

020

I can relate. Energy systems and electrification in general at least has the financials pulling in the same direction, so there is quite a bit of engagement. Other climate mitigation, especially around food, can get even the most hardened environmentalists off side.

What you don’t do with an EV is set oil on fire constantly to kake the thing move. The graphic is comparing ICE to EV. Do you drive a car? For people that do, what would be preferable?

No worries. There is literal blood sweat and tears in there.

000

This kind of graphic really shows how inefficient ICE vehicles are

Yes, and even more. Sometimes with people you don’t expect.

That looks very much like a 5B solar array. Another Australian innovator with a fantastic story.

It’s like some councils have a policy of standing for the lords prayer. You don’t have to like it, but you do have to do it.

Alex Ferrara @wired-alex.bsky.social · 25/05/2025

Angus doesn’t. He told me as much to my face.

Nice. Debian distros have the distinct advantage of the best package management. Just don’t tell anyone what text editor you use or there may be a riot.

I had this exact conversation with Liberal people handing out on election day when I asked them to explain their “Labors ute tax” to me (its actually the fuel efficiency standards). “It’s a free country” was their reply.

I would like to thank @simonahac.bsky.social and every single person that supported Climate 200, which was able to support some fantastic independent candidates. You have made a significant difference and it matters. You have become the trim tab.

It will be good when Angus is no longer my MP (election boundary reshuffle). I will be able to talk about the picturesque location of the Cayman Islands without the threat of defamation.
